Not sure about depth- there’s a heap out at the moment and League could’ve won all their games. Without listing- there must be 6-7 first choice and then some tall options in Simpson and Cripps who didn’t play yesterday

I admire your optimism KCEF. Certainly some different perspectives on here. The Perth and Joondalup games are the two I have had a chance to see this season. Jansen playing as a defender is interesting - marked their full forward yesterday until being put into the ruck in the last quarter. It was the same last week. Last quarter Rueben becomes the 3rd defender and Jansen goes into the ruck. Cripps and Simpson may become obsolete. Tom Bennett was saved at the last minute yesterday from playing off half back again. A different role for him too but part of a plan no doubt.

Disappointing to lose yesterday but Joondalup certainly the better side again though the scoreboard suggests not too much between the sides. Their basic skills seemed much cleaner than ours at times, Their defensive pressure and their ability to win the ball stood out. The usual suspects for us were well down on disposals. Good players for us hard to find. Jono Marsh and Eardley probably our best. Jansen tried hard and was hard to fault. Murdock and Baskers too though more so for their tackling rather then getting their hands on the ball.

Certainly could do with Boekhorst's run that is for sure. Boekhorst, Meade, Bailey, Lester-Smith, Turner and Tassone would all be first 22....and sadly all out, with HMarsh another now me thinks. Very few sides ever play best 22 during a season....but would like to play more then best 16 atleast.

I agree with Ruddiger re Goddard, a big loss, but McGuire is doing some handy around the ground work....big ask v Clarke next week though.
