Won’t talk about Perth much- who apart for a patch in the 2Q were poor. Sharks came to play and once they sniffed blood they went in for the kill. Great to see Marsh hit the scoreboard, Hagan was lively in his debut for 2 goals and Boekhorst, Murdock and Baskerville were excellent.

Should be a great test v WP next week

Excellent 4 quarter effort from the team.....5 goals minimum each quarter, with once again a great spread of goal kickers. Whilst Perth have  well documented injury woes, EF had a number of top 22 players out on Sat....O'Reilly, Goddard, Leggett, Meade,  Murphy, Montubaun and probably Simpson and Monaghan jnr.....not sure the extent of those late outs in Montubaun,Meade, Murphy  and Simpson but if only niggles, then the coaching staff has a nice selection headache leading up to the finals......plus Teakle(Port permitting) as well fingers crossed.

Really need to back up that performance this Sat v WP.. ...super tight in those top four spots, some very important 8 pt games coming up for all teams seeking a top 5 spot. Congrats also to Jed Hagan on his debut, sounds like another State U/18 rep in Cleaver had a good reserves debut, so might get a  debut before the season is out.

Monty another 'out' against Perth - would of had a field day too. As fun as it was to watch the 3rd rate opposition obviously has to be factored in. But credit to our boys for how they went about it - you can only beat the opponent you are presented with. All players chipped in and it would be easier to the name those who didn't kick goals than did.

17 year old Jed Hagan, wearing the number of club great Murray 'Muzza' Wrensted, had a solid league debut. Will he become a regular in seasons to come or is the AFL calling?
