The cheeseburgers, $8 cans of beer and bars calling last drinks the moment the umpires blew their whistles to end the game aside, the WACA seemed to be a very nice place to watch a game of footy. Great to get a fifth win in row against a side that still has a lingering aura about them. The reality though is they are now a bottom half of the table team. Our opponents on the weekends just ahead should each provide a much sterner challenge.

Performance wise yesterday was our best of the season so far. No passengers with all contributing well to a good 4 quarter display. Boekhurst was simply outstanding and at times audacious. Buddha was again very good. What he lacks in size makes up for with courage. His 11 tackles headed the teams count.

Jupp and Bailey down back were excellent. They were ably assisted by Tucker, Meade, Burton and the courageous Tassone. Holding our opponents to just 2 goals for the first 3 quarters of the game was outstanding and a great sign for supporters.

Pleasing to see Goddard have his best game so far in the blue and white hoops and Jansen also lifting to help fill the void left by losing arguably our best midfielder. Eardley continued his vey good form too. Up front our Bull was terrific again bagging 5. Cody Leggett chipping in with 4 was the icing on the cake. On to Fremantle Oval and to hopefully ending our derby drought.

I echo the sentiments here- great venue to watch footy- not sure you’re going to get much support charging those prices for food and drink and closing the bar straight after the game- wasted opportunity there. Score clock was in an odd position and tiny- why don’t they fire up the electronic scoreboard???

Game was excellent by the Sharks. Great to see some players that were given games in past years that were chastised on here come good- Tassone has become an excellent defender, so has Burton and Bailey. I fear that’s the last we’ll see if young Teakle- took some big grabs. Not sure what the ruck/fwd line looks when he goes midweek.

Boekhorst outstanding, Marsh and Leggett split the halves and kicked 9 between them and Murdock and English continue to work their backsides off. Hard to know where Subi now sit in the comp- but I get the feeling they’re cooked.

Congrats to the Sharkies, dominant all day, eased up a bit in the last but still split the qtr. It will be an absolute tragedy for EF if Teakle goes, he is a class unit in the ruck and around the ground, hopefully for you, he can come back and play finals if the team who picks him up doesn't make finals or is out early.

EF were bigger faster, harder at it and in the Subi players faces all day, that sort of form will take you guys deep into September and into October.

Jono Marsh is a very good player but appears to be a complete nutcase ... that said I'd have him in my team!!
next weeks real derby should be a balltearer like the good old Derby days.

Good venue to watch footy, heaps of cover and good spacious seating, but I'll echo the comments of the food and drinks, that so called cheese burger was the worst burger in the history of burgers, stale buns, burnt meat patty (I think it was meat) and over priced drinks. One of the few things I looked forward to when going to Moss St was the pie stall run by the lovely EF ladies, best pies anywhere in the comp.

That’s BC and now SS that say Jono Marsh is a nutcase.  What do you see in him that my blue and white eyes don’t?  Sure, he’s a hard, bullish player that gives his all.  Isn’t that what we want to see in some players, hard and tough?  We don’t see many of his type in modern day footy.

Shark Tragic, that “idiot” you mentioned at least knew what was happening. I called into the Broken Hill yesterday evening on my way home from Joondalup and the back room sports bar was packed with EF players and supporters. I believe you had your presentations there as well. Eardley got best player.
