Big game this week against a red hot EP. Travelling to Northampton will add another variable and it should be a close encounter. You’d think there’s at least 1 change for EF with Walker a new addition to the injury list. Interestingly, Schoenfeld is listed as TBC so he may be a little way off. You’d think that McDonald and Williamson would be in the mix to come in or will Bill and Co go back to a Bailey or Smith, both who played Rd 1.

EP have a potent midfield and some emerging forwards, Keuk And Medhat, so it should be a great match. 

EP do have a potent and big midfield and the dominant ruckman in the competition. And they are pumped up.

Can see McDonald coming in for debut, definitely will need Goddard and Teakle to combat Jones. Should be evenly matched through the midfield, with both forward lines possessing an arrange of targets up front. SD had a taller forward line then EP, so I guess no changes up back for EF, though Tucker could come back in too.

Great to see Northampton get the match, pity the colts aren't playing as well, good opportunity for EF to give some of those Geraldton youngsters a taste of colts footy. Though with a few Geraldton  products in the EF WAFLW side, nice opportunity to show case them for the growth of female footy in the Geraldton zone 

EP definitely  playing direct and attacking footy, can see this being a bit of a goal feast, just like the good ole days of WAFL footy.

Freeze and KCEF this will be a big test for both sides, EF have a strong backline (with all due respect to Swans) with Jupp and Co, your mids are very good with Eardley and The Bull Jono Marsh so there will be some key battles there, if I was going to be there one battle I would look forward to would be Teakle and Jones. Scott is a bigger body but Teakle was very good in the scratch match with his work around the ground, a good match up.

Think Goddard is a decent size, can see Goddard doing the one on one with Jones, and Teakle using his athleticism  around the ground.....hopefully the two can wear down Jones as the match goes deep.

I have seen Goddard twice in recent times, the Reserves GF when he was with Claremont and in a scratch match at seasons start. Both times he was beaten (in my opinion) by Amos and Edwards. Unless he adopts the Sean Darcy tactic of not looking at the ball and just trying to disable the opposition ruckman I would not be pinning much on him.

I see the two ES boys are in for debut, with Smith and Bailey coming back in. Not sure if Meade, Monaghan and Tassone are COVID outs, Walker did his ankle from memory last week v SD. No doubt Marsh and Jansen will rotate between CHF and the middle, though rather see Marsh closer to goals to bag a few, not sure Jansen can be relied to kick a goal let alone a bag.

Now that was a first quarter to savor if your a sharks supporter and it only just won the game for you. Mr Marsh your best for mine
