58, the Eagles are gonna (most probably) recruit Stranadica onto their AFL list, not to their reserves side. There is no limit to drafting players from a club for that, remember Swans had something like 9 players drafted about a decade ago

Gee that's disappointing for Dixon.....a hidden blessing for EF......especially since Strnadica would be a strong odds on for a WCE spot and Cripps might stay over in Victoria and play VFL if he misses out on that Carlton gig......live with his brother and see how an elite footballer goes about his business on and off the park for 12 months.....though getting Cripps back would be more then handy to EF ruck stocks......

Cheers for the link strono......looks like Strnadica to WCE is a given as Bill highlights.....they need a ruckman, have invited only one ruckman to train on with two spots on offer.......not rocket science......only way Strnadica won't get a spot is if he does a knee or something preseason......just finding it mind boggling they go into a draft, surely with an idea of what type of player they need to bolster their squad.....eg inside mid, outside mid, tall forward, tall backman, small forward, pressure  small forward  ruckman etc.....yet they ignore Strnadica in the draft and the rookie draft......lets see what he is like over the summer......yet we won't invite any other possible ruck candidates over the summer either.....LOL......doesn't make sense......

Bill suggested there was an experienced ruck waiting in the wings to cover the loss of Strnadica.....yet won't commit until WCE make a decision.....completely understand that, but the long the decision takes the less time he will have bonding with the playing group preseason, let alone his fitness.......maybe just Bill talk, who knows.......interesting what he said about  the ES recruits as well......all over in Victoria at present, training with other clubs, waiting till the NY to come over when WA drops it border??......What if it doesn't??.....wait n see I guess.

They were talking to Solomon James from SF. Not sure if he is the one being referred to as he is not very experienced at league level having not cracked a game yet. Also i heard he’s looking likely to stay at SF 

Totally agree Freezin, it is inexplicable that a side who desperately needs ruck depth waits until the very last minute to recruit a back up Ruckman. Natanui gets injured... and Stranadica (who nobody had any interest in draft and rookie draft) becomes number one ruckman. It does seem to be amateur hour at West Coast when it comes to list planning.
Not saying Stranadica is no good.. don't know a lot about him

Think Teakle would be number one even if James came over Satan.....As you say, James doesn't fit that experienced profile Bill mentions in the interview.....James would be depth at best if he came to EF.....time for Teakle to step up I think....

I can’t see anyone coming in this late that would be any good. Perhaps Brock Higgins. Interesting on Solomon James- don’t know much about him but it’s clear the club is looking at lists for a ruckman.

The unknown are the Vic players- hopefully some gems there. Did anyone go to the BBQ last night?? Or was it cancelled??
