Be good for the comp if there is a last game shoot out for finals...obviously not good for the clubs concerned.

Bonomelli out - no surprise. Bockman out - which is, must be injured. Lester Smith named at full forward - interesting, but has goal kicking pedigree so could be inspired thinking by the coach. Young Tom Monaghan named on the bench as has Tassone - both will be lucky to hold their spots you would think. Could be a good time to make a few changes give some others ago - someone like Teakle or Zac Jackson. This McGuire who keeps being named in the squad only to be left out time and time again - anyone know anything about him?

Looks like Loersch needs to kick a few more bags before he gets back in the league side...or his card has been marked....interesting Bonomelli pays the price for EF meagre number of inside 50s last week and none of EF midfield folk....and didn't he have more possessions then Monaghan jnr?....surely Ryan, Winton, Teakle and Jackson get a pine seat view of the game tomorrow?....surprised Goddard is playing reserves for Cl tomorrow....so perhaps Teakle won't be needed...thus Murphy gets a run...really surprised Loersch isn't at FF tho....EF need goals don't they?

Winton you would say with certainty will play, but the rest? Only time will tell. Probably will go with Monaghan and Tassone leaving one spot to raffle amongst the others.

McGuire is a young Key defender- certainly not hard to miss- peroxide white hair!

I guess Winton, Mills, Jupp cover those spots- hopefully he gets a run soon as he's always in the squad.

Who are the talented players you’re talking about, FF2 because none of the ones mentioned are up to it. Jr certainly has had a few chances though. Good to see Ambrose Ryan back- certainly one of those talented ones. Tassone out- hopefully he goes back a plays well. I stay away from the politics of footy clubs so I’ll let others comment on the board. But seeing as Malaxos and Wiley delivered 0 flags, I don’t have an issue with things being done differently!! As long as a flag comes eventually

Only one of I can think of of talent, is Chris Scott, who went back to Gero mid season last year....Will be interesting if a few of those 2nd tier sorts move on...Robinson, Burton, Watson,Teakle and Marshall through lack of opportunities...but hey Robinson, Burton and Marshall have the likes of Snadden, Jansen, Kommer, Eardley, Boekhorst etc in their way....whilst Teakle and Watson have the old warhorse Griff in their way...

Didn't Harrold leave for employment opportunities this year to CoVictoria...and came back to EF pre-season due to COVID...if he hated Monaghan as you say FF2, not sure why Harrpld came back to EF then. One would think Monkey Brennan or Condon are EFFC President's in the making....

Certainly an interesting contribution and insight from the 84 grand final veteran - I am a bit like KCEF in the respect i don't see that side of things. Can't stand that bourgeoisie crap - let me sit with the ordinary heart and soul supporters any day. I can't vouch for what FF2 says - does seem to have a bee in the bonnet about the coach. But does seem to have issues with quite a few things - in the past that has included Rob Wiley, certain board members, certain regulars on this thread, Matthew Jupp, Dylan Winton and now Tom Monaghan. So seems to have an innate sense of pessimism. As Freez points out the Jimmy Harrold example - who i also recall FF2 revealed is quite the social butterfly, does not apply because he is still at the club. Shame about Leon Pearton - played not 1 league game last season, not sure if his departure was of his own accord though. Still comes to games to watch mind you. Chris Scott is different though because he was getting a game - but do we really know why he left? We need to be objective about these things. Way too early to write the coach off. Tom Monaghan holding his spot understandably raises a few eyebrows - but he did have a very good season last year - tapered off a bit towards the end. Is coming back from injury though. We will see how he goes tomorrow. Milestone game tomorrow congratulations to Ryan Lester Smith on 100 league games. Great to see him back playing good footy after a wretched run with injury. Hopefully we get the win so he can celebrate in style - and to put a bit of heat on the college boys.
