DD you have forgotten during Wiley's reign...he should of won two spoons out of 3 years...we only jagged a win v SD in the last game of the year to hand Spalding his second spoon at the death...2017 from memory....Wiley was a spud coach at Perth and an even more spud coach at EF....I rate Wiley's achievements alongside the illustrious David Dunbar or DD for short....

A lot of retirements came after 2016 didn't they? Anyway it must take a Spud club to appoint a Spud coach if you already knew it but your club got sucked into to his long assistant coach career alongside Malthouse, Judge, Woosha, links with Carlton netted you a couple of players didn't it? Boekurst and some key forward/ruckman at the time can't recall his name.

You were happy to ride the wave and it was just all positive spin from you back then I recall. Remember you hoping if McIness got delisted he might be lured to Shark Park to play under his uncle.

I'm not sure anyone here expected EF to play finals. Just improve. Thats still debatable for this season- but definitely did over the course of last year. I think it's still a little early to judge Buffalo but next year will be judgement day. I think you can see the bones of a good side at EF- just need to get games into them and find a way to score. You'd think we would with Loersch and Strnadica in the squad but they just haven't fired.

And thats on the coaching staff- they need to get more out of those types of guys

Anyway back to the Cl game, will the coaching team take a 2nd ruckman into this game...big ask for Griff v the Cl big boys.

How did we get onto half back flankers? We're sorted in that area, Thanks must go to Mineral Resources and their incompetence for that. Back to this week though and I expect Loersch will surely surely play. Bailey has also done a little ruckwork this season as has Jarred Jansen last couple of matches. The latter two hardly long term but Loersch coming in or Nic Watson coming in is for me a better idea - playing just one ruckman is a bit risky - if they are injured during the game you are scewed.

Wouldn’t it be more productive to leave Bailey up forward? I’m certainly no footy expert, but I thought he looked reasonable against West Perth last week. To be honest, this is a game that everyone thinks we will lose, so why not try a fresh youngster in the ruck? Nothing to lose.

If you blokes win then Claremont could be under pressure to hold their place in the 4. They have a bye and West Perth to finish the season.
