Goulding was a very good player for Claremont but obviously not in the Krakouer brothers class. I didn’t realise until recently that the Australian basketball star Chris Goulding (CG43) is the son of Steve Goulding.

I think Chris Goulding was raised here BH and was a young Wildcat early in his career. Looks like we let one slip. If you can criticise the Wildcats they probably don’t back their own backyard talent enough. Worthington, Laughton, Cattalini, there are others I can’t remember them all but there a lot that have gone on to have very good NBL careers and some have become Boomers. I think Adelaide 36ers Daniel Johnson another. Of course we are very lucky to have Damian Martin and I think Jesse Wagstaff is another eastern stater.

I think they have some very good young talent on the roster at the moment but that Rhys Vague is a spud.

Yeah you are right DD Goulding did start at the Cats before heading off to Brisbane & Melbourne via Europe and trying out in USA.
There are a few local WA lads at the Cats currently young Wani, Travers & Britt as well as Majok Majok plus Vague as you say who has had an average season. Wani looks exciting.

Sunday Desch another that’s blossomed after leaving the Wildcats. Big wraps on Travers they’ve tied him up on a 3 year deal apparently. They need to plan post Martin and Wagstaff so just give these kids the minutes and let them do their thing.

Southerner-- the more I think about Brown at south, the more i come around to the idea that he did a great job. The club, as you know, lacked the depth of SD and CL and this was made worse by a bad run of injuries to key players. eg., Mckay and Rioli

That clown jacko rated brown as one of the best coaches of all time, and he rated very few. He even said barassi was useless
