Ressies look really strong and I think if we play to the potential we are putting out there we should win well,

Colts have played well against two of the stronger teams EF and SF, last weeks game was a good hitout against peel for the boys. I reckon a good win is on the cards.

16's should win but at this level it is often a bit of a raffle.

And the League team or does that not count anymore?

I'm not sure who was missing for you guys tonight but if the Eagles are relying on their ressies to develop and get them back to the top of the AFL then they'll be waiting a while.

Nearly all the backline.Kyle Anderson,Tom Gorter,Asher Samalko and Mitch Fraser is still yet to play after his acl last year.Unfortunately another backline player gone for the year with Jackson Ramsay doing his acl Also with Scott Jones gone to Peel the ruck stocks are thin with only untried ruckman which is why Mcinnes played ruck.Midfield has not improved from last year with the eagles preferring to draft forwards instead of midfielders.Oh the joy of being aligned.Can I revise my ladder position from 7th to 8th if lucky.

I admire your post Chaddy. Quite positive as what I saw from the sad rabble that was east Perth was a pathetic limp half arsed excuse of a football team which is a blight on our once great competition. I guess these young eagles guys have talent but most of them looked like they had never actually played a game of football before

That's the problem when you have so many guys jumping from under 18's straight to wafl league without playing reserves.Fortunately for Ajang Ajang he was spared from rucking against Clarke.The west coast supporters were not happy that Watson (186 cm) had to play undersized chb and Rotham 192 cm had to play full back but today was a perfect storm of lack of experience and height in the backline,a makeshift ruckman and a lucklustre midfield which west coast needed to rectify by some clever drafting but instead drafted forwards.It is hard to develop guys from junior ranks as they do not get enough opportunity and until someone opens his eyes to see this or a reserves comp for the afl eventuates I see no way out..

Surely he was joking.after seeing the ep v sf scratch match without any eagles I thought it would be a tough start to the start of year.Last weeks demolition by peel with half a team of eagles shows why I picked them to finish 7th but a lot of huge improvement and a few key players back from injury is needed otherwise maybe wooden spooners.

I spent the day cooking sausages and onions and so missed all three games, no complaints just wow hot and tired. I went home at 3/4 time of the ressies and though still were going ok from the 5 minutes I saw of them.

The only thing I can say is from seeing the players when I had the opportunity is that the weagles guys are boys and are built like boys when you compare them to other teams. What does it mean, well it means that we will literally be bullied out of the games and unless we have a game plan that allows for very quick movement of ball and players we can expect more results like this!

The ressies are still a good thing for me as they seem to have a few lads that are ready to use their bodies to do the task.
