Given that he coached Glenelg to the 2019 SANFL premiership, Demon Forever, I think Mark Stone was a great appointment by your club.
Your players were very slick with their ball movement last night and put tremendous pressure on our players when they had the ball.
We had more than our share of the footy last night, led by Tom North's 40 possessions, but many of our disposals were "hot potato" handballs or hurried, sideways chip kicks.
Your man Aaron Clarke is arguably the premier forward in the competition, although I thought Brad Fullgrabe battled manfully against him, but lacked support from his co-defenders when the ball spilled to ground.
From a Royals' perspective, Ben Middleton, with his strong marking, has been a great pick-up.

Not sure I agree with you Chaddy.
There is a heap of improvement in our football.
A lot of youngsters in the side.
Some of them out of our 2023 Colts GF side.
Another, a joint winner of 2023 Jack Clarke medal.
Not sure why Subi let him walk out.
A lot to look forward to at Lathlain.

Looking at the injuriy list for both teams i suspect we will have  a better 22  the next time.
We had Five best 22 players out .
Perth played well but we also let them with too many stupid turnovers.
You might improve but i think we can improve a lot more.
Long way to go for both teams.

Maybe the turnovers were from pressure and denial of corridor.
Whatever happens I look forward to our next meeting.,

EP still the best kicking team in the WAFL in my opinion and your players use Scott Jones so well as an exit. I don't think Clarke booting 7 against Matt Fullgrabe was a true reflection of the contest. Probably quick ball movement coming in worked in Clarke's favour but Fullgrabe probably the best fullback in the league right now.

I agree that Fullgrabe actually wasn’t too bad,and he did manage to win several one on one contests, and only 3 of Clarke goals were from marks, and the rest were from ground balls at the back. One heartening feature after losing our 2 best mids, has been the form of Tom North, who has more than covered the loss of Schumacher, but ball users and midfield Bulls like Crowden are very hard to find, and I fear the loss of Marquee midfield recruit Cooper Stevens may come back to haunt us,as I reckon we’re 1 or 2 quality midfielders short of getting back to the big dance.

Looks like Fullgrabe is out for the year, and with Watts apparently suffering another injury setback, this week’s opponent the Eagles, have a tall forward line who good pose a few problems, but wasn’t it good to get back on the weekend ,the little backline General Stan the Man.

Wow - Whats happened to Fullgrabe he was very good against Clarke even though Clarke had a day out.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

Apparently a knee TFAF,which is a shame, because he’s been a fringe player for many years since he crossed over from Swan Districts, and now that he has started to establish himself,he breaks down once again, which has been a common theme in his injury prone career.
