I was wondering during the week, who would make way for Middleton in the forward line, but Sebit apparently is injured,so that dilemma for now has been averted. You wonder when players like Watts,Willocks and Hille who are normally automatic selections, who makes, way for them, because youngsters like Milner, Cassidy and Boules, are playing very well at the moment.

Tigers struggling against Weagles, which diminishes our win against them somewhat, another stern test against a very good Demons midfield tomorrow night, although I expect Jonesys presence to be a big factor.

Looks like Hille and Willcocks copped hamstrings in the ressies last week and  Watts calf has put him further behind in his return. The coach won't have a  headache for a while. As for Boules, Milner and Cassidy it allows them to get some league experience and help build some depth.

Yes on face value we looked disappointing, but there were a lot of contributing factors.Perth on paper, have managed to assemble a very good midfield, but after initially thinking they slaughtered us in that area, after watching the replay,North who had 40 possessions,,Brayshaw,Scott and Co weren’t that bad and won enough of the ball, and inside 50 entries were virtually the same. The Demons were incredibly efficient kicking 15.3 and Clarke kicked 7 from 9 kicks, and their forwards seemingly couldn’t miss.In contrast, our forward line minus Sebit, looked very congested and one dimensional.and although Middleton has come in and kicked 3,we had too many players like Schofield,Graham and Medhat, who are basically just mark and kick players, and the chemistry there just wasn’t right. Also losing Stan Wright before the game was a big blow,as he is our best kicking rebounding back, and the connectivity between, the backs and mids, and the mids and forwards wasn’t there, although Stone who is obviously a good coach ,drilled his side to block the corridor, which we like going through, and alot of our thrusts in that area were blocked.I also feel we lack a line breaking mid like Davis, who was the most penetrating running player on the ground,so we have a few areas to work on if we have aspirations of going deep into the season.

Not sure Perth could have played much better and kicked so accurately for goal.
We on the other hand were terrible with hand and foot helping to contribute to easy goals.
I think you appreciate on a day like yesterday the value of Stan and how he can by foot get us out of the backline.

Yeah Chaddy, when I heard Stan was out,i wasn’t to keen on our chances, and my young fella had to push me to come to the game,as I was happy to watch it on TV.I also hope the coaching panel shares our same view, that our forwards set up last night looked too one dimensional, and the sooner we get Sebit back the better

RL, Stone made a comment when interviewed before the game about wanting to deny EP the corridor.
You are correct Stone is a very astute coach.
