Again, how can the WAFC allow this bullshit to happen. Again, I say, this is not fair. The wank on with the 6PR commentators justifying Peels alignment with the Dockers is good for the WAFL. What a pack sensationalist wankers.

It's a blight on this comp..im gutted to lose and hope we are back in 2025 but at the same time and it's probably because the game was only a few hours ago, I feel this loss is a bit of karma for us as a club. We did the alignment with eagles and I turned away from the club during that period as it wasn't east perth, no matter what anyone says and yes, we probably had to do it as we were in financial dire straits but losing to an afl aligned side, bit hard to whinge..yes we hosted a few vics early 2000 but the likes of Swan, Perry, Marley, Holman, Barnard, turnbull, ridley etc was the difference back then but when we went full alignment around 2014, that was wrong. Again, I know the club did it for a reason but seeing it from the other side, how they expect part time footballers to compete with full timers is near on impossible and I take my hat off the east freo for winning it last year. We will be back in 2025, I hope so but nothing is guaranteed in wafl with players moving to ammos, country etc I feel we need one more key fwd in addition to Schofield who will return and a quick midfielder whilst holding on to the team from this year.
someone said to me after the game, don't get to gutted from the loss as it's just a game...some people have no idea what it means to follow and love a football club

If The Royals keep the current playing group, they'll be in the Finals again next season one would think. I've not heard of any players retiring?

Apparently 6 of the 8 Wafl clubs agreed with all this silly shit.
So the Wafl have to suck it up!
And the damned by-product of it all after all the blatant lies officialdom has told - the Wafl fans have to put up with all this bullshit as well!
And I don't know of others, I'm just about done with aussie rules altogether!

Haven't heard anything either but I know crowden is a south Australian who will go back eventually, hopefully not for a year at least. They are a very close unit and I think this loss will spur them on, well I hope it does. Plus they have a great coach at the helm along with stability so that should help also

You’re right hard to complain as a club about alignments. Just needed a couple of their key Dockers to miss through injury and the match would have been tight. We need a power forward and some pace to
be a better chance.  Everything fell
our way to make the GF but still proud of the season.

Heroic effort by East Perth. Just a bit off your game and slower to click into grear. Well done Royals. I was cheering for you hard.

There will be a lot of hind sighting about the outcome of the game but the fact that we made the finals, and the GF under Ross McQueen is a credit to him, the players and the administration. Hopefully EP supporters accept that our 5 or 6 A grade WAFL players cannot compete with peels 5 or 6 B grade VFL players over the whole game.

For me my pride in them remains the same, my hope for next year is a high as can be given we will have some next level players to come through, Brooks, Regan and Maxwell will all add to our strength. Schofield will come back and who knows abt Kuek and Baker. All add to our strength and depth.

Correctamundo. Maybe a bit of poetic justice delivered by the karma bus yesterday. Apart from early premierships from the first alignment you more recently hitched a ride on the Eagles coattails which put you back in a strong financial position. EFFC might have no choice but to do the same.
