I don't mind a sunday game but a evening game is just a pain in the RRR's (oops). I was so looking forward to going to Carlisle.

It  is an important game for us as it will be a test of the game plan and selection table.

Will the new more attacking plan continue and will it stand up to a team that won their first game as well albeit against what from the reports seemed to be a pretty average wcer team, we  hope it does!

The selection table will be interesting, do we stick with a few players who perhaps needed to contribute more, the trouble being that the reserves did little to promote their claims.

The other game of interest will be the colts. Have Perth move on from last seasons effort and have reaped some benefits from their work in the district. EP colts seemed to be switched on and played well, will they be able to persist and win.

I think this will be the game of the round Grump, I was impressed with East Perths resilience last week in that they responded every time that Swans threatened to overrun them, particularly in the last quarter. Perth also fought back when they looked beaten so I think this will be a very close contest.

Mike I hope so for both sets of supporters, it has the makings but it will depend on whether or not round one was something that brought false hope. Still no teams to ponder but the West reports Perth will be strengthened by some good inclusions but no coach.

I’m not sure why WAFL clubs don’t post their teams on Thursday night. There is plenty of talk across this site about the lack of promotion of the WAFL but it seems that  clubs just don’t care about their supporters. There is a fan interest in who is playing. Surely clubs know by Thursday who is likely to play. Why does it have to be a secret until the moments before the game??

I suspect it may be due to the fact that every club is battling COVID issues amongst its players. It is not known really till the day of the game who is likely to be available. For example Swans have withdrawn 5 players from their named reserves team which makes me suspect that some guys may have been placed under protocols overnight. I heard from someone that the Perth coach is in isolation. Crazy times

Sorry to hijack this topic but we can’t talk about the game cos we don’t  know who is playing … mike I get your point but what is the  “emergency” list for? Just add a few extras to that list. Surely it’s not that hard?!? No one says the teams have to be set in stone but how about giving us some idea.
AFL clubs don’t have a problem doing it. Perth league clubs do it. Why not the “premier WA comp”?

Except WCER who seem have a seperate set of rules allied to them. They were able to play SPS, Jake Waterman and Hough last week who weren't named even on their emergency list. WCER did field a strong side last week and look a weaker side this week with Strnadica Waterman and O'Neill out.

How many players do you put on the emergency list?.With 14 players out for claremont this week i am still wondering if anymore may need to be pulled out before the game.Emergency lists are only good if you go in with a player or players  who need a late  fitness test or somebody who gets ill on the day or depending on weather.i have no issues with East Perth's team not being released on thursday as so much can happen before sunday..

Not a bad side named, Ramsay a good in for us, Dittmar needs more opportunities to develop.

After last weeks game Greaves showed that he is a big plus, hopefully he is just a covid out.

Should be a a good game. (hopefully my spacing, grammar and spelling are acceptable)
