No Troy Lucky, but it’s refreshing to see a player hit the ball at near top pace and quite often take it one grab.  Some of our small forwards need three or four fumbles and taps to accomplish the task. You guessed right I prefer one touch players.

I agree ''Royal' about the one touch players, but what is baffling me is how we managed to get over the top of a Falcons side who on paper were much stronger in 2019 where we should of made it 2/2 when we went down by a kick in the return bout of that particular year.I'm sure Barneys and Vallentines message has'nt altered that much in that period of time although i noticed a 9 player change of personnel in our line up,so maybe the newbies are either lazier or too selfish to fulfil the roles assigned to them.

I would judge whole seasons rather than cherry-picking positive performances Lucky. Although we as supporters try to find some hope.  Too many undersized players for league football. (Hille, Scott, Wright) Others play bruise free football (Kerr, Blee, Simpson) Too much physical load pushed onto the rest of the team.

The Falcons are a perfect team to draw  a comparison with as they have retained 16 players and their coach from their 2019 lineup,as well as losing players of the calibre of Strijk,Chalmers and Lourey.      As i keep on repeating Barney was confronted with the monumental task of replacing 14 to 15 AFL listed players and to win any games post alignment of that particular year was no mean feat, especially when he managed to achieve that against the old foe who had a very talented squad,so maybe expectations were elevated somewhat prematurely,as this was never going to be a fast overnight fix,but i still feel we are heading in the right direction.

So I’m getting the vibe most of us are thinking complete squad overhaul.  Harley Sparks, Ugle and Dittmar would be in for me this week. Outs from Kerr, Scott, Blee, Hille, Simpson, Watts and Young. All either out of form or too soft for league football in my opinion.
considering we are playing a struggling side i doubt barney will be too radical.a overhaul of the list will need to be done at the end of the season and we may need to move a few recruits on who are worth big points.question is will we be able to recruit anybody?

before i headed to the footy i looked at the colts score and was shocked at how close the scores were till i looked at the team playing.with the 17's and 19's having a scratch match we had several players in their first and second game.apparently alistair picketts son was playing in his second game as a 16 year old.the league was pretty uninspiring with two mediocre sides making too many mistakes.fortunately we made the most of our opportunities early but the last 15 minutes were horrible.thank goodness for jones and ramsay and a few others.glad to have steady eddie back on board with two goals and a bit of chop out for jones.i think it proves we don't need two ruckman in the team.we are only playing for pride and hopefully moving up another notch up the ladder.

If my  memory serves me correctly i believe we received match reports as recently as last week after the Falcons knocked us over, and i am very curious to see how their game plan would stack up if god forbid Black,Nelson and Keitel were all unavailable at the same time, which is a scenario that occurs less frequently than the sightings of a halley's comet.

I will do it Lucky although I don’t have much idea.
Colts obviously 10 players out but handled a very ordinary Perth. Brooks, Peak, Lombardi and Littleton doing the heavy lifting.

Reserves tried hard but lack size and experience. Even except the third quarter they piled on score. Highlight for me watching Coxy play.  No right to handle the ball with that amount of skill after a lay off.

League I thought we controlled it until panic set in when a couple of decisions went against us. Couldn’t fault anyone in particular.  Very glad they didn’t play a ruckman and played the ineffective Giblett up forward.
