In general play we made an absolute mockery of the premiership market which has our opponent quoted at 3.50 while we're quoted as 200/1 pops, and make no mistake and not for the first time we had them on their knees and it took a fifty metre penalty for them to have their only scoring shot for the last term which resulted in a goal while we had 5 scoring shots and were all over them, but yesterday was a turning point with Stan Wright returning to form and Swan Districts discard Brad Fullgrabe playing the game of his life at centre half back and hopefully now realizing he is capable at league level, and the continued improvement of North and Msando who is developing into the best rebounding small defender in the league, and Subi recruit Edwards Baldwin has provided extra pace to the side and i believe would be a perfect forward crumber which is our biggest achilles heal as were not getting enough reward for effort, but with the return of a couple more important players in the coming weeks we will be making our presence known.

Fully agree with your thoughts, royallucky, about us controlling the play against South for long periods yesterday.
However, just like our 2019 and 2020 visits to the port (and also against Swans last week), we just couldn't land the knockout blow.
Very impressed with our defence, particularly the strong marking of Brad Fullgrabe and the ability of Jacob Msando to negotiate "heavy traffic".
We just need to learn how to capitalise when we're on top, and that includes having a reliable "crumber" close to goal.

I also can;t argue with rewarding players in consistently good form in reserves with league promotion,as was the case yesterday with young Jack Cooley who in the long term will be a good league player, but yesterday was unfortunately a little overawed and accumulated 1 possession, while the returning Angus Schumacher played reserves and i reckon his penetrating left boot could've well made the difference in such a vital game but i guess we're all wiser after the event.

i think we made the right decision with angus to give him a game in the ressies to get some match fitness.he hasn't played a lot of footy and should be better with some training this week as well.i feel for young jack cooley.bad timing for him.the game against west coast would have been ideal.i am sure he will bounce back and once we get ramsay back and the side is playing better football hopefully he will get another chance.

Could not watch the colts game but another win to the boys in a top of the table clash with the bullies.

Interestingly young Peak amongst the best again. here is a lad who is 166cm and 57k's which is not big compared to many others at colts level but his play is creative, hard and all game.

Good to see Amiss kick 3 and Regan having a good game from the stats and votes.
