Oops forgot abt Mr Cahill.

In talking to some of the boys they think Fullgrabe will be a good one, also forgot abt Watts and given he is only 18 and playing against men for the first time he did alright!

Excellent thoughts and obvious depth at the club with the reserves performance. I will throw a few different names up that I think could improve. Harley Sparks has looked our most talented on baller with ball in hand in the reserves. Cooley has the size and more importantly attitude to become a top player. Cox is a freakish talent but obviously no certainty to stay in WA and commit to his footy. Dobbo switched on is in our best team. Hayden, Rowe, North also more than handy back up.

Yes Royal, young Cooley looks like a likely type with his size and speed and there are big wraps on Sparks even though i haven't seen enough of him to form an opinion, and Cox has obvious ability but seems to come and go whenever he pleases, and everybody knows the ability of big Dobbo but he just has to change his mindset and realize in todays football a non negotiable is the emphasis on defending when ever you haven't got the ball,as much as there is to attack when you have it,not only from Barney but i would say most other teams coaches as well.

Schumacher is an unknown nice skills lacks pace. Scott had a solid season for us but is he worth the points? Interested in your opinion Lucky, would you keep all four?

freeman has had a disjointed, injury riddled start.i would like to see how he would go if he has a proper pre season.with a very points to work with i would have schumacher play centre half back.he played half back flank at carlton.he is 193cm which is taller then blee.anyone know whether kane la fontaine-roberts is any chance of coming back.i think he got a serious injury late last year and he is 195cm.

Freeman just looked like they played him to early so he needs to fix the issues and get fit, Robertson will be a very good player now his world is becoming more settled. Schumacher is going to be a real good one for unless he decides that being in the new VFL/NEAFL process is better, he is studying online with his original UNI so home maybe a decision that comes up! Simpson is one that I would seriously as borderline along with Hooper. Scott has gone up from a very low base in my estimations, he provides a link or outlet for Ramsay and others who do the grunt work.

Fullgrabe, Pescud and others who joined will be better for the season albeit short.

The next few weeks/months will tell us a lot and if Stratton comes home and can be lured back to the club we will have a a good backline with Rudrum, Willcocks, Hayden, Fullgrabe, Eaton and Hart forming a good back six!

eddie simpson (3 points) is a hit or miss player and should dominate at this level for a guy his size.can't see him going as unless freeman has a good pre season we don't have many options.keuk needs to beef up.he had a few almost moments this year but needs a bit more time to develop.

I thought Eddie Simpson played some really good footy this year and see him as definitely being in our starting 22 in season 2021.
He topped our season goalkicking with 13, which would equate to 35-40 goals in a regular 18-game season with quarters of 20 minutes plus time-on.
The thing about Eddie is he's also a very reliable set-shot, reflected by him only kicking two behinds.
Simpson, the vastly improved pair of Jayden Magro and Matt Young, and a fit Jono Freeman would give us a very useful forward line if our midfield can continue to rack up possessions.
I'd like to see us win a few more centre clearances, though consistently playing the physical Nick Robertson in the middle will help in that regard.
A good suggestion of yours, chaddy22, about Angus Schumacher maybe playing at centre-half-black, though I thought Nathan Blee finished the year very strongly.

i wouldn't be getting rid of eddie.with our tall forwards we need to get inside fifty more often and better by foot.there were times when our talls were outnumbered in contests and not one of our small forwards to pick up the crumbs.with blee being 30 will he go another year.we needto look to the future.we can get by with undersized defenders till we hit sides like souths who have a couple of big boys.have been impressed with young and especially magro.last year i thought he might not be up to it but this year he has been getting better the longer the year has gone and his kicking is a weapon.the good thing about having a season even tho abbreviated is we have seen some improvement and hopefully with a full season next year we can improve further.

A very good and robust discussion abt various players.

We can all agree to disagree abt various players which is a good sign just like the the club and where it is headed.

Simpson will be one that I cannot agree on, he might have only kicked two behinds but failed to make the distance on a few occasions (inside 50) and had as many out of bounds both stats are not counted. I just cannot see it!

Schumacher would be for me the fifth mid rotating through there from bench or on field, CHB would be a waste unless he has a licence to move forward when the opportunity presents.

I am sorry but as good as Sparks (the motor cycle one) thinks he is and at times presents he has a few things that need to be fixed by the coaches before he will be a league footballer. The criticism (from within the club not just me) is that his football is selfish and within the arcs (which in itself may not be detrimental) which creates issues for other defenders. He has been told both on and off the field but continues to ignore the feedback. Cooper on the other hand may not be as flamboyant but would be the preferred selection for me. Cooley is similar but he defends and attacks at the right times, great lick and would be a good attacking HBF or wingman.

Over to you!
