He retired last year. Second coming.

ROYAL 2019 wrote: We didn’t deserve to make it if I’m honest and good luck to Perth. Hopefully they don’t consider making the finals is good enough and actually lift a level. I think we have a better handle on our squad now and will have to shed some dead wood.

Barney basically took over last season a topped up 2018 reserves Grand Final runner up side with a smattering of experienced players in Blee,Anderson and McGinnity, and this year what ever recruiting gains we made was offset by the loss of Anderson,Wright and Wellingham in the delayed start of this abbreviated season, yet we already found ourselves in the mix to play finals despite fielding sides that had around a dozen players who have played 20 league games,so i can't see how we have got alot of dead wood.

We didn’t beat anyone in the top four so in my opinion we need to shape the squad in order to be more competitive. We require a bit more pace forward and in the middle. Also at least one key defender. How we free up points to do this is difficult without cutting players.

We never at any stage this 8 game season fielded a full strength side and do you honestly believe in a normal full season we wouldnt've beaten one of those top 4???? and which one of our 10 point players in Freeman,Robertson,Scott or Schumacher who would you get rid off,and i can't see the value of culling a Hille or a Hart who are 1 point players, and i believe with the possible 10points we have remaining in our cap,of course you'd go out and chase a desperately needed key defender, but at the moment we are tracking beautifully.

Robbo is a required player for me. Freeman would require a very positive medical prognosis to keep playing. He can barely walk at this stage. Schumacher is an unknown nice skills lacks pace. Scott had a solid season for us but is he worth the points? Interested in your opinion Lucky, would you keep all four?

Freeman definitely as he didn't do a proper pre season and then played a couple of games with a leg injury,Schumacher i believe with his beautiful kicking should be playing as a rebounding half back flank, and Scott is an interesting one regarding the points value but when you consider his relative youth and ball winning ability i think you'd give him a tick as well.

I think you will find that there will be the usual exodus that every club has at seasons end with perhaps one or two notables either looking elsewhere or going to Balladura/Noranda.

Freeman just looked like they played him to early so he needs to fix the issues and get fit, Robertson will be a very good player now his world is becoming more settled. Schumacher is going to be a real good one for unless he decides that being in the new VFL/NEAFL process is better, he is studying online with his original UNI so home maybe a decision that comes up! Simpson is one that I would seriously as borderline along with Hooper. Scott has gone up from a very low base in my estimations, he provides a link or outlet for Ramsay and others who do the grunt work.

Fullgrabe, Pescud and others who joined will be better for the season albeit short.

The next few weeks/months will tell us a lot and if Stratton comes home and can be lured back to the club we will have a a good backline with Rudrum, Willcocks, Hayden, Fullgrabe, Eaton and Hart forming a good back six!

The beauty about Stratton if he can be motivated to come back to the WAFL is his 1 point value, and lets not forget the injured Jaxon Cahill who's as good as any half back flanker going around, but the jury is still out on the Swans recruit Fullgrabe who only managed a half a dozen league games at Bassendean.
