I have always looked forward to the Swans games. This one shapes as a must win for us and it will be interesting to see what happens at the selection table, do we go with unchanged team.

If not who goes out, some of the folk I was with on Saturday suggested that Christian Ameduri does not do enough but for me his pressure will be useful this week, does Freeman come back in, not sure that Cahill will be fit but Fullgabe will come into the reserves.

Yes I always look forward to East Perth games, especially now we have the real Royals back.
I think the players enjoy the contest as well. You guys will be riding high on the confidence of beating Subiaco last Saturday and with the incentive of still having some finals hopes, EP may get over the line here. Hopefully Swans bring their A game and it will be a good contest.

it becomes a critical game after last weekend and Swan Districts will be pretty willing to stuff East Perth up - should be a good game

According to the Wafl website, SportFM covering this match. The league starting at 1430 it says. The crystal ball is telling me the weather will be fine with a maximum temperature of about 18ยบ all around the Wafl grounds on match day. Will be a good day for footy.

I think what we want to see now for the rest of the season is a bit of consistency, especially against an improving side like Swans,as we were brilliant against the Sharks then failed to turn up the next week at Joondalup,as well the game against the Tigers when we fell away in the second half, but i suppose thats part and parcel of having a dozen or so players with 20 games experience and i'd be very disappointed if we didn't get at least 2500 on Saturday as the attendances for our games have been quite ordinary.

Isn't East Perth one of the richest WAFL clubs? Don't understand why they can't have live streaming.

South Fremantle, Swan Districts, Subiaco has done it.

Bit of a mystery as why no live on-line stream showing for this weeks fixturing? Bit of a shame.
Saw my first live stream a couple of weeks ago with the Souths v Swans match at Walyalup Oval.
The commentary team and the camera operator persons do a top class professional coverage.
Really hoping the 8 Wafl clubs show foresight and make this a regular feature starting next season. I wonder what impediment would be to having all 4 matches live streamed, instead of one?

For West Perth none. Their supporters don't attend games.

For the rest it would be interesting, but many older folks can't make it to the game so it be good for them to view their team.

Shame no stream this weekend.

The club's needs to support and fund live streaming because WAFC spends the money of salaries and keeping the sinking ship, West Perth alive.

Is there wasn't West Perth in the competition, you'd have alot more funding for live streaming and for a better list across the board by increasing the salary cap.

It turned out to be a great day for football not matter your team, fine, pleasant temp and at leederville a good crowd.

There were a few things that added to my day, the first being the presence of Syd Jackson who I rate as one of the truly great champions of his era along with Walker, Sorrell Thornley, MacIntosh and of course Bill Dempsey. The other was to catch up with a player from the 80's Ian Berry, very funny man. The last but certainly not least was the great fellowship amongst all of the EP and Swannies supporters in the bar, great laughs and commentary.

The colts game was a really good game of colts football between two teams who haven't had the best of seasons but it mattered not! Swans won but the EP boys did not lose they beaten on the day by a better team. I have to admit I have a favourite colts player at EP, Jayden Peak, he is knee high to a smallish grasshopper but show so much determination and grit that he is developing into a good player (his dad played colts in the 80's), Swans like EP have some players coming through for us it is Hindle and Amiss. Hindle is being managed due to stress fracture issues but even in his limited time on field shows plenty. I really enjoyed Jack Allens game, he like Hindle and Amiss shows something.

The reserves was a close game after Swans burst out of the blocks, in talking to a couple of boys before the game they said Swans are a bit of a bogey for us and in the first it seemed to be coming true. In the second and third it was us catching up even stevens in the third and us pulling away like a good team should. The play may not of been pretty but there was courage and endeavour from both sides. The Rock continues to play well, Cooley keeps displaying good play and our best was certainly Jordan Hayden who I reckon may be at a higher level sooner than later. This may seem a bit of a negative but the former players seemed not to be much better wearing the Swans jumper which is a shame as I hoped they would develop more in a different environment.

The league game was game in three quarters for us, Swans played well for the most part but seemed to be let down in structure and execution for most of it. The second was more on their terms but after that we just seemed to be able play on our terms. I thought that our better players were Ramsay and Lynch who whilst they got 30 odd possessions don't get cheap ones and tend to use it well, Young continued his good form and Jonesy is improving with each game. Mr Robertson played well and I reckon that he will get even better from here on in, For Swans Fisher is a good'un and Tony Notte should have a statue erected in his honour when he pulls the pin.

I know from comments on the swans thread they are not happy and yep I think that I would be a bit pissed but your young players are worth persevering with, G-Barrass, Turner and Ireland.

Grump I reckon Ramsay will win the Sandover, he is probably the best and most damaging player in the WAFL at the moment especially by foot. Throw in Robertson, Lynch, Scoot, Kerr & co and there is a guaranteed collective 120+ disposals a game amongst that midfield alone.
And they have a plethora of tall targets who can take a strong grab inside 50 to kick long to.
