It would seem that this game is generating a lot of early interest so here we go ....

WE will have to deal with the injuries to Watts, Schumacher and Jordan Hayden, Watts has I understand to be a significant finger injury so will be an out, Schumkacher rolled his ankle and depending on treatment should be a starter, he did com =e back but then sat the game out when the result was decided, Hayden split the webbing in his hand and again depending on the severity should play.

I have different opinion to others and think Northey will be a starter for Watts but Eaton or Gorter could be the alternatives.

Leedy I think we have a few smalls that may not match your talent but could create a few issues.

Aiden Lynch has proven a great pick up for us and he along with Robertson & Kerr gives us three ex WP players with a chance to create a bit of havoc. I know why Kerr came to us, I suspect I know why Robertson did but Lynch is a bit of a surprise given the family ties (Conal). Any idea why he came to the Mighties.

Anyway I hope it is a good game with a good crowd a frigid park!

Outside of SD games obviously, I do enjoy watching the EP vs WP Perth Derby matches.
For mine and having witnessed a lot of the respective Derbies at both ends of the Swan especially on Foundation Day (in which the WAFC never give SD a game) the Perth Derby has had way more heat and feeling than the Southern variety for the last 20 years or so.
This game should be a ripper.

added incentive is that it has become an important 4 points to both clubs as far as points & third or fourth place go
East Perth win and it starts a logjam of sides on two wins
West Perth win and a clear division between top & bottom forms

Grump,

Regarding Lynch, he can play, make no mistake but he rarely completed a full preseason. He was always travelling and joined the group late which explained his body shape and frustrated the coaching staff. He was good enough to eventually make the League side but took him 5 or 6 games most seasons. Im not 100% certain but I heard from a reliable source that he spoke with Valentine about a few things and threatened to leave so Valentine gave him 2 clearances in case he lost one.
Clearly a combination of trying to impress at his new club and that he couldn't travel due to Covid he has completed his first preseason in a long time and has benefitted from it.

Well i'm glad Mr Leedy that Valentine let him go because he's picked up 60 possessions in his first 2 Royal appearances.

RL,

Good for him, he never got close to those figures with us so win-win I reckon, he obviously would have struggled to get a game with us under the THEN current scheme of things. For the record, I liked him but he did piss the supporters off when shirking preseason and with the late starts.
