Can you put your thinking cap on and tell whom played 100 games for the black and reds in the decade 1970-1980?

Perth actually had more players than any other club play more than 100 WAFL games from 1970 -1980 inclusive - a total of 18, including 5 with 150 or more

164: Brian Cook & Geoff Watt
155: John Quartermaine
151: Wim Rosbender
150: Colin Lofts
148: Ken Inman
139: Malcolm Day
132: Wayne Currie
130: Murray Couper
119: Allan Stiles
117: Mike McPhee
115: Doug Farrant
112: Alan Johnson
109: Rob Wiley
104: Peter Bosustow
102: Bob Sheilds & Bryan Cousins
101: Jeff Dickinson
100: Chris Mitsopoulos

Ric -- thanks, you a legend.

BH -- Schreech did join EP, starting out okay; after that, he got injurred and Cable left as coach; Have you seen the interview wit the late Ken on this website? He mentions some clashes with Armstrong and his time at EP,

Armstrong would have regarded him as expendable in favour of young players, such as, Cotter, Lahoar, Reeves, Fussell and even younger Dean Wilson; ironically, enough, as you know, 'bease' Subi would play without three of those players in 1982. By the end of the year, of course, he was playing colts players and had also discoverred Phil Scott.

Ken Spillman commented that the main problem of Armstrong's side was an absence of a CHF, listing a number of players whom played in the position. I would not agree with that necessarily, the mid field which was unable to get the ball forward. Clint Brown, Ken Marshall, MacFaull Ironmonger, whom got injurred Mick Johns, all had ability. Indeed, Brown went well in the goal kicking the following year.

I think you can see this clearly in a game at EP which we should have won on the day. MacFaull kicked four goals, but alas, the mid field allowed Peter Thorne to kick eight for the Royals,

Hey Ric do you have these same numbers for each club for the 80s decade (1980-89) as would make for interesting reading?

I’ll pop up the data tonight -just a matter of running a quick query - I’ll open a new thread for it though - Actually just thinking, i could even add a page to my website tonight to select the year range and team - bit like my team highest score pages etc

Correction: MacFaull kicked 2 goals in the game against EP -- Ric's website

1982 was an interesting year in other ways: Greg Kelly, one of my favourite players, started the season in the centre against WP, but finished the season playing 'colts' according to the 'budget'.
