It's the time of the season where my daughter and I pack our pepper spray, steering wheel lock and have 000 speed dialled onto our phones for the annual pilgrimage to Bogandean. The weather doesn't look like it's going to be overly great but that shouldn't detract from what should be a pretty good game. The Bogans will be buoyed by a win at their last outing and momentum is a big thing in footy. We're coming off our best game for the season performance wise against FART and hopefully can carry that forward into Saturday. Fimmano will be missing but I believe Harry Marsh is a chance to return with guys like Daniel Leach, Ryan Vermeesch, Jack Mayo and Joe Scafidi all pushing up in the two's. I think we'll win but can't see a blow out given the weather and Swans recent form improvement...Subi by 21 points.

all our forwards need to learn how to lead properly to the kicker of the ball

well done defending the winning strike after falling behind SD.

Not a great performance but a win is a win I guess. I thought Swans stretched our defence with quick transition which is something other teams will go to school on. Deluca kept us in the game until Horse and KItch switched on in the last. Sokol good, Waters worked hard, Dela made an impression and an encouraging debut from young Jack Mayo. I thought the maggots gave the bogans an arm chair ride with 23 frees to 13 with 3 or 4 of those in the last. The most impressive aspect was to come from 22 points down just before 3/4 time which highlights our overall fitness as we kicked 5.6 in the last to SD 2 points from memory. Maybe the influence Schofield had over the team in previous years is starting to become very evident as we're not the same as last year.

Schoey a once in a generation coach. Feel for the bloke coming after him, doing a good job all things considered
How does he go at the breaks?

Stt,Bc: Schofield's greatness was confirmed in that grand final against EP when he had the weaker side, and, additionally because of the consistency of his side, particularly over the last two years. It will be a big game when we meet Perth, STT, but, I am unsure if we will be undefeated at that stage -- South next week and CL soon. I remember the 1980 and 1985 season, in both, as you would re-call, all four of South, SD and Subi and EF repsectively, had lost very few games.EF brushed us away as if SFC was afly on Subi Oval. The late Geoff O'Brien played for us that day, former SF premiership playoer of great repute.

So true Ark, there is alot to come in 2019. We have overrated Claremont and their underperforming coach. We have underrated SF who have found players to replace retirements and who love to play Freo oval footy - but they will be much less effective away from home. We have underrated SD but damage done there at 1-4 probably. Peel on their day? PFc surely still a year away from being a good side, we don't look like kicking 20 as SF did today. Subi right in the thick of things schoey or no schoey.

Yep...Schowey was a very good WAFL coach and did well considering he didn't have much experience before the Subi league gig. He had total respect of the players and you could tell at his quarter and three quarter time addresses the players were on board. The jury is out on Wardman as it's too early to make judgment but he's winning games and thought he made some good adjustments today when the chips were down. A very even season so far with the exception of maybe EP and EF and for mine, the biggest bonus is the emergence of Perth which is fantastic for comp.
