Thanks BC, actually had a bit to do with Beau when he was doing the kids at PFC. I never could have imagined...

How does he go at the breaks?

When things weren't going to plan Schoey got angry and was down right scary at times, Wardman is much more measured but both of their methods have the desired effect of firing the boys up...

I'll drop in my opinion, Germo by far was more aggressive. As Schoey matured as a coach there was much less aggression and language, he saved most of that for the coaches room desk and walls as I'm sure BC can atest to, then at the breaks he was more measured, both great coaches but different, what they had in common was a fanatical focus on fittness and body strength.

Geez was just editing a few things in a post and it mixed things up all over the place so will try again.

Terrific game of pressure footy up at the 'Dean yesterday, Swans pressure was fanatical and they managed to close down our space and put great pressure on our ball carriers.
despite having 90 more disposals, 34 more marks and 8 more inside 50's, Swans managed through being more organised and precise with their disposals to have a tidy lead at 3/4 time after a superb 3rd qtr into a decent breeze. Notte was outstanding at FB, he is the best mark in the league and would have tied down CHB/FB in the state team. Hampson was also very good for 3 qtrs but like many of the SD boys faded badly in the last qtr. Deluca was outstanding for us and probably would have shaded Notte for BOG. Our mids were well held for 3 qtrs by Swans fanatical pressure but blitzed Swans in the last when they ran out of legs.
Big challenge after the state game v Souths who are running hot at the moment and running out games well so will be a massive game. Spoke to Clang at 3/4 time and he said he is cherry ripe and fully fit ready for the Souths game which is a bonus as it will give Dela more time around the ground and Sutherland more time to rest up forward.

Yes...Germo was far more aggressive with the players in public than Schoey. I remember Germo ripping into a few of the AFL guys who were aligned to Subi back in those days...he didn't hold back. In saying that, I usually sit in the grandstand at Leederville just in front of the coaches box and have heard some almighty sprays from Schoey over the phone to players on the boundary line. One in particular to Andrew MacDougal was particularly memorable.

SS...it looks like Clanger, Drew Rohde and Harry Marsh will all be back after the state game which is good news as we have a tough run coming up. Unfortunately Fimmano looks like being out for 10-12 weeks with his dislocated shoulder. I'm not sure who will drop out as I thought Mayo did enough to keep his place and it was great to get Joel Latham back who is definitely in our best 22 when fit. Maybe McKenzie Lawrence and/or Fullgrabe...it could be a tough selection week before the Souths game.

BC not sure i would bring in all 3 at once especially against a rampant SF. Wouldn't want 3 underdone players in the team. I'd bring in Clang to help in the ruck against Higgins, the other two I'd give a run in the 2's.Not sure mayo will stay up as Borchet has done nothing wrong and doesn't deserve to lose his spot, despite being a Jack fan, the boy has enormous potential.

All good points SS. I'm not sure how far away Borchet is and what exactly is keeping him out...whether its just a corky or something a bit more serious from collecting the point post last week but agree he should be rewarded for his good form by coming straight back in when fit. If Gus gets rubbed out then Harry Marsh would be a like replacement and I'm not sure about Clanger given he's been out for 4 weeks which will become 6 by the time we face up to the doggies...he might be the one to come back through the 2's.

I watched the replay last night. You guys failed to tell me that Swans were playing under a different set of rules! Seems they were allowed to shove in the back, hold out of contests, put arms over shoulders and necks. Yet Subi guys pinged for all sorts. I thought subi still played pretty well seeing we had a few of our best 22 out. That last quarter was quite stunning to be honest. Have to admire tony Notte, and Noble has the best pair of hands for contested marks that I have seen in a while.
