I just read that Stockley Real Estate has come on board as a corporate sponsor of the club for 2018. Former player Frank Stockley owns the business and wants to repay the club which showed faith in him and where he went on to be a premiership player. I bet that'll give the south Geraldton jerkers the shits. B)

Have you ever sat down with any of the boys that Subi has recruited and asked why they went to Subi or do you just make up random shit stories about it? Maybe if you also speak to ressies boys and find out why they don't leave will be another. As your club has tried on a few occasions to poach players but for some reason they never choose to go there.

What random shit stories have I made up JB?
I only entered this discussion after BC's absurd claim that Subi played 60% local during this season as it was so far from the reality (36%) it was not funny!
You blokes must be complete sadists if you think continually pillaging your already weaker opposition for your own (Reserves) gain is benefiting the WAFL (the reverse Robin Hood method) as all it does is just adds another dagger into now an almost completely lifeless corpse....but hey as long as your mob and its tiny supporter base are ok all is fine hey JB?!

2 things BH....firstly my original comment was based on a conversation on here ages ago where various supporters were arguing on local % of teams....hence why I said 60% during the season from memory as there was some toing and froing on the subject. Secondly, your interpretation of local is spurious to say the least...I recall you having a disagreement with SS I think about whether in your view players coming from another club's junior zone and playing colts for Subi for a variety of reasons qualifies them as our locals. your limited view of what constitutes a local would no doubt skew any numbers to the disadvantage of my club so I take your 36% with a pinch of salt. I also take jonnyboy's comment as valid....it's no fluke that we seem to get quite a few coming to the club but don't lose a whole lot to other WAFL clubs. In saying that, we have had quite a big turnover the last couple of years due to retirements, playing ammos and country, heading back home and so forth...but in general, I'd suggest the number that have departed for other WAFL clubs is very low. You can say it's down to money and payments outside the salary cap for which you have absolutely no proof and in fact your mob have been found cheating more than once along with Perth and WP but I think it's more a cultural thing. jonnyboy is correct...instead of taking the easy way out by saying its all about brown paper bags and white goods, try digging a little deeper.

Do you understand the term local zone? I have actually taken the information for the club of origin-recruited from for Jackson (Collie-Peel) & Stevenson (West Coast- Claremont) from the WAFL OFFICIAL site & publications so we take it as correct...considering your absolutely laughable 60% local zone claim earlier one thing is for sure you can rule a line threw anything you say as being correct!

He was smart enough to get out of a club that didn't rate him or give him opportunities, I bet he enjoys the occasional glance at his shiny premiership medallion, probably chats with Latham about it, oh yeah another player your genius selectors didn't rate and left to languish in the reserves. opportunity is a wonderful thing.

Good on you SS, BC and JB for stating the facts and sticking up for our club. It seems that followers on this site from SD, WP and whoever DD supports gets their rocks off bagging anything that Subi does. We should keep an eye on who they recruit for the 2018 season and give them some stick if it's anyone but local.
The Subi haters on this site should also take a moment to have a listen to Rory O'Briens interview on 91.3 podcast and hear what he said about Subiaco Football Club.

BH...both played colts, ressies and league for Subi so I'm with SS...that makes your 36% laughable imo.

Did Wayde Twomey end up retiring after the GF?. I was out of the country during September so missed the news. If he has hung up the boots he can be proud of his career with both you guys and Swans. By my reckoning he has played in a total of 5 grand finals in the 9 years since he came from Werribee for 3 flags, He has been a good servant for both clubs.

I believe so Mike. So far he's the only departure I know of but maybe Buddy Boy or similar can give us a better picture. I also agree...he was a great servant of my club and yours and should be congratulated on a terrific WAFL playing career. I'm not sure how he was used at SD but thought his sweeping role out of defence with Subi was perfect for his astute reading of the play, decision making and ball use.

Yeah he had a very similar role at Swans and he certainly was a pivotal player in the 2010 premiership team. I also had forgotten that he was on Carlton's list in 2011 and he played a few games for the Blues in that year which looked promising and I thought he was harshly delisted at the end of that year.
