And more namings to come, plus a few have returned to the club according to Pickering this morning.

WTF has this got to do with Subi's 2018 season?

Were they even interested in him?

Good question jack....I don't think so as we're pretty well off for mids but enjoyed Freez's post after our very good friend SD hoped last year that certain Subi players would tear their hamstrings off the bone..a disgraceful post back then but at least some on here like Freez can see it for what it was....an idiot in full flight.

More so because Twomey and Robinson were premiership players for the SDFC as well BC...SD first flag as well since 1990...talk about lack of respect for the guys from a supposed true WAFL supporter as well.....very floglite post sadly....

Apologies Jack and other Subi posters when I saw Swandog post I thought I was on the SD forum TBH....LOL

Does anyone know if Shane Yarran is still training with the club? If fit and firing he'd be a handy in.

BC, the young bloke spoke with Charlie about a week ago who goes to every training session and said that Yarran was training but a long long way away fitness wise from the rest of the group. He is in for a punishing pre-season before Schoey will consider playing him and if he puts his head down and gets through it he'll likely spend some time in the 2's to start the season. If he's committed to a comeback then the work should not be a surprise for him after doing an AFL pre-season not that long ago.

A fit and focused Yazz would be a massive in for us, but lets see if he survives the pre-season.

Actually, I must commend the club on finally recruitting a ruckman/key forward. Even if he just stands in the goal square all game, Clarke will add some physical presence to the side.

My two cents worth on what 2018 should bring that 2016 and 2017 didn't.

If Subi make the GF can they play a good game and win instead of the crap they served up the last two years. Subi really do have every advantage money wise and success breeding success wise at the moment and good on them - they have flown the flag for the traditional clubs in recent years and we are looking to them to win if they get there against Peel.

They have had the squad in both years no doubt, they've got the coach etc etc but have not come up on the big day. It has been very disappointing.

I don't disagree with you about this year StT....I think we won most of the stat categories except the one that counted being the final score but in 2016 we came up against a side with 17 AFL listed players and thought we did really well to get as close as we did when you consider De Boer, Blakely, Mzungu and Ed Langdon had it around 140 times between them, Silvani took 8 marks in defence and killed Hamish Shepherd, former Subi player Shane Yarran kicks 5, Griffin and Clarke win 80 hit outs to our 31 to give their mids first use and to make it even harder a free kick count of 19 to 6 in their favour. We were on a hiding to nothing but as mentioned, we were our own worst enemy this year.

Thanks for that BC and agree with much of what you say about 2016 except that from my (admittedly dim) recollection Hors was the only one of your 22 who really stood up that day. You'd beaten them when they were heavily laden with AFL players in other games that year, although not 17 sure, and if the 22 had brought their A games on GF day could have done it again.
