I'll be very surprised if they take a chance with Phez. Already Horse is not 100% and Clang while better for his 2 runs is not fully back in form, cant risk an underdone midfielder. Phez at his best is arguably in the best 2 or 3 mids in the comp, but he will be found out against the speed, physicality and fitness of the Freo boys. If Kennedy comes up then he's an automatic inclusion for Bryan, Stevo will be new for Peelmantle to deal with as an extra tall to combat their almost fully AFL backline, so for me Kennedy would be the only change, especially given wet conditions being forecast which will level up the contest regarding Freo's talls.

Wonder if Lyons will allow Cam the puppet (coach of the year bahahahah) to drop some Freo talls for some local mid-sized/smaller Peel boys better suited to the wet? You know, the ones that got them to 3rd spot on the table.

Hahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!

You subi guys are good taking the high morale ground with this one...

The facts are that both Dawson and Halligan should have copped suspensions for their indiscretions.. The WAFL tribunal made a rod for their own back when they decided not to charge Dawson in the 2nd Semi Final and have thus inadvertently set a precedence that other indiscretions should treated in the same manner. Halligans case is a classic example of that.. For some blokes to come on and say Halligan did not deserve a suspension and he is not a grub and he has a clean record please stop talking chit.. Onfield the facts are that he is no clean skin having copped a four week suspension for striking a player in the 2014 reserves GF. In this incident with Dragovich the bump was intentional as he chose to bump the player , he caught him high and contact was shoulder high which resulted in the players head being jerked violently causing whiplash. On the scale that is used the sanction should have been a 3 match suspension down to two on a early plea of guilty. Did the tribunal obtain a victim / medical statement from the victim (Dragovich and or club?) As the fact is that Dragovich left the ground at the 15 min mark of the 2nd quarter and did not return to the playing arena because of concussion..
Offield player Halligan has pleaded guilty in a Magistrates court to assault on a number of West Perth footballers outside a nightclub?
Dont try the high morale ground argument!!..

Bottom line is both Dawson and Halligan should have copped suspensions and not be playing in the GF this weekend..The WAFL Tribunal is a fraud...

Dwert...I agree...from what I saw first hand and without seeing the video evidence in my opinion both should have been suspended. It's amazing how the tribunal tends to take a more lenient approach to player's indiscretions when a GF spot is at stake.

On another note, John Townsend reports today that Phelan is almost a certainty to come in and big Creeper trained strongly and is in the mix as well....huge gambles in my opinion especially Phez who I don't think will be any more effective after an 8 week layoff than say a Bryan or Kennedy and could in fact become a liability.

Subi's team announcement has never been close to reality once this year, so I certainly dont expect that to change. We should have a pretty clear indication opnce the ressies start. Then again, Phez and Creeper may not play in either so we still wont know. I recall last year a few extra guys did the warm up (Sean Bradley for one) so we still didnt know until bounce down.

Yes I remember that Singha...big Sean was in the grandstand a month or so ago and Schoey made a point of going across to him and saying g'day. He's said he's still playing footy somewhere but I didn't hear where. I thought he played some pretty good games for us last year...shame he moved on.

Phez in 100% for me, he might not quite be up to the pace of midfield yet but he would make a very dangerous full forward with his experience and skill...

I don't disagree Southrlegends but think the wet weather will limit the chance of a blow out. Apparently 95% risk of showers in the vicinity of 8-20ml and a possible thunderstorm in the afternoon. Those sorts of conditions should help Subi as it will restrict the ability of chunder's talls to dominate.

DG who would you drop out of the forward 6 to let Phez in. After Stevo's excellent game you cant drop him, same for the Liam's, maybe Sokol but he can be very dangerous and is fully fit, Halligan has been getting better each week and Dela and Clang need to rest in the forward line somewhere. If Phez comes in it would be as an impact player off the bench with short sharp stints in the middle and rotating up forward but that means someone drops out. Cant fault any of the mids and Kennedy if fit replaced Bryan. It will be a tough call either way. Don't want to be giving players a game just on name, GF's have a habit of finding players out, Phez may pass the fitness test but getting your game speed and perception back takes 2 or 3 games and remember 70% of the opposition are AFL players who operate at a much faster pace on a regular basis than mere WAFL players.
