I hear what you are saying BC ...so much for duty of care and looking after the players well being from an inept tribunal...

Personally, I'd be looking for a new family. :)

 Jack make no mistake Sneaky was on point Halligan did cop 3 weeks down to two then let off. Looks like the cretins caved in to the pressure, and so they should have! Beas that's a tough one with rigio especially seeing that he is an ex peel boy...but come to think of it the amount of constant shit and dribble you swans blokes give the maggots I'm not really that surprised!

Subi appealed Halligan's suspension at the tribunal tonight and surprise surprise, he got off and is free to play. This WAFL is so incompetent in all facets it's not funny!

The facts are that Dawson and Wheeler should have got time after the 2nd semi, I cant comment on the Baker one as I didn't see it. The tribunal caved in to Freo pressure to let Dawson off so had no choice but to let the subi boys off. That flows onto the prelim and Halligans incident which again should have earned him a holiday but given the previous weeks shambolic tribunal hearing they didn't have a leg to stand on so like any club would have, Subi went in boots and all to appeal and the tribunal had themselves provided and iron clad precident that saw Halligan get a free pass. If any of this had happened mid year in the home and away games, certainly Dawson would have copped at least 2, Wheeler maybe 1 and Halligan at least 2. The tribunal will also have its hands tied for the GF as the same precident will stand until the season ends.

How does the tribunal get themselves out of this self made predicament, only way I can see is to replace the whole tribunal personell at the end of the season and make an announcement that the removal of the tribunal is due to incompetence and inconsistency, that gives them a clean sheet to do things properly from the start of next season.

Now back to the actual game, the forecast seems more and more likely to be wet which I think helps Subi, in that it will reduce the massive marking dominance that Peelmantle had in the 2nd semi. The ball will be on the ground far more often where our mids can match it with theirs. It will help our backs who are shorter overall than their forwards, so it will come down to a clearance battle and who can finish their work more effectively.

Elements of this finals series from Subi's pov are starting to reflect what happened in 2014, where like Peelmantle this year, East eagles were very hot favorites, lets hope so.

Pressure from Freo got Dawson off, you're starting to sound like Grassy , the tribunal would of been doing Peel a favor by suspending him.

You do have a point there PN but Freo wanted Dawson to finish his shithole of a career in a GF, it will be interesting to see if he goes out in style as a ball player in his last game or as a hitman thug.

I'd think it would be the latter SS...a tiger can't change its stripes over night. I think this could be the most brutal GF for many years. A few of the Subi blokes have scores to settle and when you get grubs like Dawson and Suban in the mix then it should be game on before the first bounce. Also interesting that Halligan was represented by Chad Cossom. I'd heard he completed a law degree a few years ago but didn't know he was Subi's player advocate. He could have a busy night next Tuesday all things being equal.

Thanks for clearing that up DG, and my apologies to 101.

I thought he was having a piss take, as I said earlier in the thread.

BC, Chad Cossom is a director on the Subi Board.

Now boys please....... the tribunal got it exactly right in the end on the Halligan case.
I was at the game and I also recorded the game and have watched the incident a number of times, so unlike many commenting on here I've got the footage.
In the first instance, it wasn't behind the play as initially indicated by someone.
Kitchen had received the ball and took off with Dragovich trying to get to him but running sort of stooped forward with his head low for some reason. Halligan came in to shepherd him of and did so with a good solid hip and shoulder to the upper chest region. Halligan didn't raise an elbow or jump off the ground in fact he bent his knees just before impact. Peter Bell commented that Dragovich had left himself open and he didn't seem to brace for the Halligan contact.
For those of you who may have also recorded it, it happened at around the 15 minute mark of the second quarter but was replayed in slo-mo by Channel 7 at about the 19 minute mark.
I also wish Dragovich all the best and sincerely hope he can play in the Ressies GF on Sunday, but Halligan did NOT deserve to be suspended.
