ah jeez I can't actually recall mudlark maybe it was mid season when he got injured - I'm pretty sure he broke his leg. But you're right it is risky to use ten points on a bloke that has barely had any impact at league level, the points system is a bit flawed in instances like this - he's overvalued because he was on an afl list.

Thanks Tiger.Probably not big enough to play ruck which is our main need, although he may have a great vertical leap. Then again, with his leg issue he probably doesn't need the crash and bang associated with rucking.

you bewdy.... according to The Worst Subi have signed delisted Hawk Angus Litherland. He should form a powerful defence with Jordy Lockyer, Declan Jackson, Aaron Heal, Broughto, Twomer, Kennedy, Leishy and so on.

A good signing for mine....

the thing is astro we don't know who has retired yet or moved on...so it could be there's plenty of room in the cap. that's what happened last year when we finished up with only around half of the 2015 premiership side playing on in 2016...so let's wait and see before we start finger pointing.

Litherland is a good get for sure, but it's not like we're short on medium-tall defenders, as per the list BC pointed out a few posts back. I'm wondering if Litherland and definitely Powell are being touted for roles as big-bodied midfielders. Powell has played that role before with good results of multiple 30+ disposal games, and Litherland has a massive tank and would have a big presence in there.

This is of course, like BC said, presuming we haven't lost any of our incumbent defenders.

Since when has Powell had 30 touches in the midfield?

Claremont reserves this year he had three games of 31 disposals.

Obviously doing it at that level is a long way off doing it in the Subi league team, but I was just speculating as to possible reasons why we have recruited him, as there's no way he's getting a spot down our spine.

Astro, unlike Bogundean, Joondy, Peelmantle and Perth we know how to stay within the salary cap B)
