Massive game this one, game of the round so that must be why the idiots at the WAFC have consigned it to winters Thursday night???????????????????????????????
Some common sense should have prevailed and especially considering the grounds condition after a long period of wet weather, the extra couple of days recovery would have been very valuable.

Anyway, both teams will be looking to improve from disappointing last starts, if its a wet night it could be a nil all draw giving both teams inability to adapt to wet conditions. Plenty of talent in both teams, and both outfits play a physical brand of footy. Subi have the best defence and Souths have a great forward line so it will come down to the mids, and how well they are serviced by their rucks. Expect Souths to have a significant advantage in the tapouts but we have dealt with that situation all year. We get Kitch and Twomey back from a couple of weeks break, no indication yet if Dela will be available but I doubt it so will need to look for another tall to help out Clang and Shep. Surely Elliot wont make the cut after a couple of sub standard error ridden efforts and a number of good performances from a few boys in the 2's, Boges, Garcia, Walters, G Clark & Stevo to name a few.

Will need to keep the game plan simple and direct as the surface will be in a poor state so over using the ball will be fatal. Should be a ripper game and looking forward to seeing the selected squads for both teams.

I think both Dela and Horse are still a couple of weeks away SS. The Thursday night thing is all about Channel 7 and its promo for Thursday night footy being Pie Night or something equally as silly. Anyway, it is what it is and I'll be there.

Yes I'll be there as well. 3 weeks since horse's hammy so maybe they are using the std 4 week rule, anyway we cant afford to take chances with either of them with just 5 H & A games and a bye before the finals. Hoping Sokol will have another blinder against his old club, guessing they will be putting plenty of work into him which may take some heat off Ryan.

it looks like there might be some rain around SS with an 80% chance of showers during the arvo...given both teams didn't deal with it all that well last weekend it could make for an interesting game. Subi for me but only just.

Perfect weather for Hams the Duck but I believe he's on the injured list. having Kitch back in could well make the difference, not since Mark "Dessie" Haynes have we had such a hard nosed in and under mid who can also do it on the outside.

This game will go a long way to deciding top spot and a priceless weeks break in the finals.

the problem with that mike is Subi have a bye in the last round as well....I'm not sure Schowey would want two weeks off before playing a first final...momentum will be important at the pointy end of the year.

Yeah see your point BC, there is a problem with having too much of a break in that if Subiaco win the 2nd semi as well they may be in a situation that they have only played once in a month leading into a Grand Final which could be a little disruptive.
