That sucks but I had a bad feeling it would happen as the vic recruits are usually only on 2 year contracts & some don't extend

DG,

Our Vic recruits more often then not become life members !

yeah but with the garlics it's not on account of games played...it's because their name ends in a vowel.

With Wheeler retiring too that leaves a few holes, other clubs will be on high alert

Clanger is only 27 so can't see him hanging up the boots any time soon...and any way, we've got young Creeper who you'd know all about and is only 18, pretty aggressive, 6'4 and 90 kilos...so plenty to work with there.

Wouldn't be too sure about Wheeler BC, I heard from a very reliable source that he is finishing up this season and travelling, then wants to play some cricket. Again, offer some $$$ and he may play on !

You're close to securing that country kid I've been talking about. Young tall forward who kicked a bag this year in the bush.

Spoke to his old man today and he said if he stays in WA he'll choose Subiaco. The only thing stoping you picking up a beauty is the temtpation to play for a VFL team in Melbourne.

Good luck to you guys though, you've looked after him more than his own club.
