although a dead rubber this week I reckon we'll go hard given we have a week off afterwards and competition for spots going into the finals will be red hot. WART aligned players will also be putting their hands up to play in the AFL finals so I expect a pretty tough game.

Agree BC, both teams will be going at it for the reasons you mentioned, but also because we have had 2 virtual training runs against Perth and EF who both put up little resistance apart from Perth's 1st qtr. We need a really hard tough encounter to tune the players up for finals intensity and against WART I think we'll get it.
The weather conditions sound like a copy of last years GF weather so that may create some uneasy memories for the WART players. Don't expect many if any changes, need the team settled going into finals. Wortho needs to come in when fit, Latham, Bestry and maybe Yazz are possibilities, but who do you drop? Unfortunately Waters may have missed the boat unless he plays a blinder in the ressies. Ressies is important for the boys to grab back 2nd spot for home ground advantage so might get along and watch the early game.

If Swans make the league elimination final it will likely be against East Perth at Leederville so if that happens I'm sure the reserves game will be at Leederville too and the 1st semi of the reserves West Perth v East Perth will be played at Joondalup. Come to think of it I reckon that will happen even if Claremont get into the league top 5. Colts are a bit more up in the air as final positions within the 5 have not been decided.

Looks like they're taking the opportunity to give Robbo a spell, he's done really well to play out the season given the planter tendon issue. Yazz better put in a big one or he'll find himself in the 2's for the finals. I understand Waters will suit up in the 2's perhaps he's eyeing Yazz's spot but would need to play a blinder on saturday and in the ressies qual final to be considered. No surprise that Latham's listed, real hard nut and a very good run with player, would be good if he goes to Wolfy, could get very interesting. Not going to use Bestry by the looks of it, would have been a good game for him to play against Johnson and their AFL monsters, good education for the lad but seems they will go into the finals with Clang & Dela rotating the ruck with an occasional run by Woody as he did last week.

Wart have plenty to play for and will go full bore, we need to make a statement over them, plus the boys don't want to miss out on a finals berth so it should be a pretty intense game, weather will favour us being very wet, we seem to like the wet, similar to last years GF :-)

Still no Wortho which is a concern.Waters and Robinson also not listed. However, this is the closest we have been to getting most of our best on to the park all year. This is also illustrated in the reserves tomorrow where several league quality types are returning from a layoff or improving their match fitness. Our league team looks top heavy tomorrow in the forward line.We need quick players like Deluca who can apply great defensive pressure when they don't have the pill.Jimmy Garcia ticks all the boxes and more in this regard and I hope he is able to convince the selectors tomorrow that he is worthy of a place in the top 22 come finals time.

On the WAFL footy web site it's advertising that EP vs Subi is on 7 Mate starting at 1:40 but the ressies are starting at 11:30.
Is this a typo?
Saturday 29th August - 1:40pm
at Medibank Stadium
KIX Digital - 7 Mate

I can't really understand why the game has to start at 1.40 as neither of the local teams is playing on Saturday night? I think you will find the earlier games will be pushed back half an hour as well

Of course the game that should be televised tomorrow is the banned one
