Apologies for calling them the.club formally known as East Perth. They are a nothing. So wish I could go in their members and see them all pat each other on the backs for being heroes. Yes. I'm still angry! It will pass.

Made me sick listening to all the interviews with EP and Eagles players after the game on 720 and the commentators. It all sounds so ho hum how the Eagles players have been made to feel welcome. The praise flowing back and forth was sickening. While it's working like a treat for them it has killed the competition.

I am seriously considering boycotting Perth v Eagles reserves games next year.

Well it panned out exactly as all the pundits predicted, a very comfortable win to the Eagles puppets, I don't think anyone tipped Subi and why would you. Ignore the previous 2 wins during the season, not sure the Eagles were particularly switched on or fully committed but yesterday they simply overpowered us, out ran us and their skill level did not deteriorate throughout due to their far superior fitness. They were also well served by their former WAFL players, many of which have had solid AFL experience and all benefit from an elite coaching and fitness programme all backed by West Coast.

One must wonders how the salary cap works in these sorts of games when one or two Royal Eagles players are on contracts exceeding the entire salary cap of real WAFL teams. Is this comp a level playing field? Of course not, it has been almost totally compromised by this miss-alignment. Sadly we were subject to the Royal Eagles supporters shouting their delight and patting each others backs after this totally hollow fake victory by a fake team, delusional just does not describe it

I'm as much disappointed that my team lost the game as about the WAFL losing it's way by the actions of one of it's former historic clubs selling themselves and the competition down the river for 30 pieces of silver.

The real WAFL grand final is next Sunday at Leederville between two committed proud and desperate WAFL clubs in EF and Subi, whoever wins the GF will have to front up at Subi oval the following week for what can only now be seen as an exhibition game. The ultimate protest by real wafl supporters would be to totally boycott the exhibition game so the crowd is the worst in WAFL history which may send a message to the WAFC that this joke of an alignment is just that ... a joke.

hear hear SS. It made me really angry hearing the other mob chanting East Perth, East Perth when we all know the reality is it's Eagles reserves...they're delusional.

I will be very surprised if they get 10,000 to the Eagles grand final -- which will be the lowest crowd since the 30s. Good luck to both clubs next week; hope Subi wins in a close game.

Now I've got that off my chest, I can talk about Subi's effort against insurmountable odds.

I thought our first half was full of merit effort wise but our execution once again was poor, much of it due to the immense pressure by the Eagles midfield which was this week bolstered by McGinnity and in particular Butler who is a class act particularly at WAFL level. McDougalls 1st qtr efforts were heroic continually taking goal saving marks deep in defense, without that we would have been 7 or 8 goals down at the first break. We had the same number of inside 50's as WC but butchered many of them by bombing it in under great pressure. Against the strong breeze on the occasions we managed to hit up targets they were 5 - 10 m too far out. Half a dozen shots were on target but feel just short therefore we were never in a position to create scoreboard pressure of any sort.. Rumba was terrific down back on Smith keeping him to just 1 goal when the delivery was of such a high standard.

Totally overwhelmed at the bouncedowns by their two monsters but our mids did a creditable job with clearences against the odds. How nice would it have been to have those 2 Subi boys in Sheed & Sinclair playing for their original WAFL team but alas it is not to be. We struggled on gamely with I think just 2 players with any AFL experience in Horse & Doug's

Looking to next weeks Grand Final against the Gummies I'm particularly worried by our skills execution which has been poor for much of the last 6 or 7 games. EF obviously executed particularly well to finish the game off with 9 straight goals in very poor conditions. We need to improve markedly on that front to have a chance. Our best chance of winning the Grand Final is a dry day where we can load up with talls and stretch the EF defence.

There are a couple of players that really need to be looked at for next week, I think Hildo has run his race and should be replaced by a player more suited to finals, his pace is down and he's just not physical enough, but maybe a fine day and a hard track will suit him better. After watching the ressies great win a couple of players stood out, Halligan up forward with 6 goals (5 to 1/2 time) was terrific and should come in in place of Buddy, if it's fine Stocks must come in after a very solid game in the 2's.

Back to the league,Yazza had a shocker, he seemed very tentative in his approach to the ball which is at odds with his usual full on attack at the contest, maybe being his first WAFL final was an issue, hope he's back to his brilliant best next week.

The selection meeting this week will be very interesting, I don't think there will be wholesale changes just a couple of issues to address and we are in with a good chance at our 12th premiership.

our first qtr killed us. turnovers were the real problem with missed targets and sloppy delivery the major issue. we should have been right with WART at qtr time and infront after the second qtr kicking with the wind but were up against it for the rest of the game after a poor first qtr.

I know there is hysteria about EP ruining the league but I don't think we were that far off. We blew our chances in the second quarter and missed too many shots on goal. 3 goals 5 on the scoreboard but we also had a few out on the full and a few more sprayed wide that didn't go anywhere. We were definately the best team in the second quarter, if we took those chances we would have had a lead at half time and they would have had an enormous amount of pressure on them.

Hopefully we get another shot at them, need to take our chances if we do. We have beaten them when they had more WCE players. Hampson back would be handy as well.
