BC, that's as good a team as we could hope to field apart from George. I think that Larry is on the money re the quad, apparently it was miss diagnosed a few weeks ago and was aggravated against Souths, GH was not happy!! Anyway we will just have to win through to the big dance, that will have given George 4 weeks to recover.

Showers forecast for most of Sunday morning and most of tomorrow so the going will be very heavy as the Leedo surface is in a poor state to start with. The listed team is loaded with talls so not sure we will start with that many if it stays wet all day. With no Lysett or McGovern, the East eagles are not such a top heavy team so the selectors will need to make some pretty hard decisions on Sunday morning to make sure we have balance. EE have a host of hard bodies in the mids especially with Wolf who is arguably the hardest nut in the league, so we need that hardness at the contest in what will be an in and under knock it forward at all costs type of game.

Chris Deluca is that sort of player and could be used a bit more in the mids to help Brissy, Mahoney, Horse & Phez. I like Twomey on the wing, he distributes the ball well and is a big body. Not sure Hildo will make the cut if it's wet. A fine day and fast track he would be first pick but he's not that physical type we will need in the wet.

If we go in as listed we will have 4 ruckmen to go up against Sinclair and Johnson, on a dry day that would work to wear them down but may be too many in the wet.

Anyway we have given ourselves the best chance to make a good showing and if we can replicate the same run and skill level as the 2 games we have played them we are a real chance, but based on our current ordinary form, it will be very tough.

good summary SS...i was thinking a little while ago that it's a shame JKT is out for the year. he would have been very important to us in the finals but that's footy i guess.

Good views I must admit if George is out then I feel we could fall over the line. He absolutely killed Adam Carter who is to short for him one of Dawson's rare mistakes. You Subiaco guys must be very happy with how this team has improved so rapidly with no AFL help.

Hampson is a big loss for us.

Not as confident as I was the last two times we played them. Not overly concerned about the result because I don't think we can beat them twice in 3 weeks. As long as we are competitive and hopefully Schoey can get something out of it to work with for the next two weeks.

LB the key has been some smart targeted recruiting, guys like Twoemey, Boland, Delahunty, McDougal, Stockley, getting Hildo back home and the big bonus has been Shane Yarran, arguably the recruit of the year.

Subi's board and coaching staff stated after last season they were not going to sit on their hand in the face of what promised to be a dominant EP/Eagles team so they had to open the coffers and chase some quality to fill the obvious gaps that have appeared over the last couple of seasons and be as competitive as possible. Fortunately Subi have the ability to do so and have been EP/E's strongest opponent, although if we still had 2 or 3 rounds left Claremont would have been finalists and very much the form team. Any teams that have had success supported by good recruiting have picked from other 2nd tier comps like the VFL/SANFL/TFL, Swans did that very successfully as we also did during the 2004- 2008 era, Not so much success by getting old ex AFL players with some exceptions of course, Bevan has been great for Perth and a bloke named Krackauer was pretty good as well.

I have long sat back and admired Subi's coffers ha ha. You have done well and your strength program is spot on too I reckon. To strong for us in our previous meetings you have no weak bodied players and match up well on us.

Simply outclassed. Too many fk ups that you cant get away with against a team half full of pros...

You know what. Fuck all this politeness. If Subi beat the Sharks next week then so be it. I will go to the grand final and support them against the East Perth turds. Eagles maggots are scum sucking fucks. Oops am I being a tad harsh? Apologies to the oxygen thieves who think I am. And yes I'm angry. WAFC. Congratulations. Scum.
