Not good hope they are not too bad & hope Horse was just looking after his knee.

No luck for Kennedy. The number of times I've seen the bloke carried off the ground in agony just in last year's colts and this year's league is incredible. Feel for the lad.

I think I overheard a trainer say collar bone but could be wrong

Yeah, he wasn't in a good way at all.

What a great game of hard physical footy played by both teams. I was realy impressed with Peel - From the 1st bounce you could tell they were here to play.

The 1st quarter was even with the second I thought going to Peel who could easily have been up on the scoreboard at half time. The third was Subi's and this is where the game was one. A man down at 1/4 time one at 1/2 and then one virtually at 3/4 and I was glad we had a 5 goal buffer leading into the last as I knew Peel would run the game out.Subi showed tremendous spirit in the last to hold on with no bench.

As someone touched on the umpiring was a bit of a shocker but although we got a bit of a raw deal there were some shocking decisions both ways with obvious decisions not made and some silly ticky touch wood ones ruining stages of the game and frustrating players and supporters.

Peels game was sound and how they haven't had more success is amazing. They have a large number of big bodied big men that are mobile and hard for any side to match up on. East Freo will have to get the ball out of the middle next week or they may be in trouble? Apeness for me at 19yo looks a good type for the Dorkers and was most impressive, Mathew Brown was hard at it in and under, Silvagni steady with good games also from Hannath,Moribito (although his disposal let him down a few times) ran the ball hard through the middle,Jones as always has a crack and local boy Liam McKenna did well.Their coach would be happy with the effort just not the result. A few times with brisk ball movement they got fast easy goals - they just have to string a few together.

For Subi I knew it could be a danger game and Peel made us work hard. This game was the most physical we've encountered all year and I was proud of the way we stood up. I thought our best players were our big guy's with Delahunty doing a power of work and very mobile along with big Stockley who continues to impress. These guy's were up against a barrage of big AFL blokes all day with a number of players rotating through the middle and our two guy's stood up well.Wheeler although quiet to start played well down back with Stevo while up forward Boland played his best game and the skills of Hampson and Yarran were pretty to watch. Yarran didn't kick a goal but set up five and provides that spark we need.Horse played well first up, Phelan got a bit of it and Bristow did a power of physical work but can still turn it over at times. Mahoney and JKT still seem to be pushing up into form and Waters had a quiet day. Dylan Elliot I thought was off a bit yet I read somewhere he was in our best? I will need to look closer at his opponent and see what they're doing - who was he on does anyone know ???

The ressies had a good win and watching the last I liked the look of Scafidi,Clarke,Moore and Daniels. Dougs looked good and may come straight back into league.

A great start to the season for Subi - I never thought we could be in this position.
Well done so far but it's a long season and anything can happen. Unfortunatly we have a few injuries but this provides an oportunity to a few of the ressies who have consistantly being playing well and will get a chance.

See you on Friday against the EPweagles.

Delahunty could be a gem. Boland looked better as the game progressed.
We've had varied success with recruiting big fellas - Kiwi and Herring compared to Lucas and Rix - I think we're on a winner here.

Dylan Elliott for Subi must have been on Buddy Franklin ???
Dylan's stats - 1K 2HB and 1M got him 5th best for Subi on the WAFL site !!!

I've got nothing against the lad - he's young and has courage that's for sure.

Shit I must have been a better footballer than I thought and watching a different game on Saturday ??? I saw him stuff up about three times and thought he looked out of sorts? He's a young fella who definatly has a crack but I was thinking give him a run in the magoos and find some form. Must be highly rated by the coaching staff and given a specific job ? Nobody's told me who he was on yet and his opponents stats or game summary ???

Good summary chopper. I thought our guys did really well against a very tall chunder. Bristow for mine was our best. He reminds me of Mark Haynes the way he goes about it. Boland took some terrific contested marks and I thought Hilda had a red hot crack as well. It also seems to me that oppos are now playing defensive forwards against Twomey to stop his run off half back. The turd who played on him Saturday did everything he could to niggle and upset his running patterns but twomey is a class act and didn't get caught up in it fortunately. I also thought clanger did really well down back against Hannath, Apeness and Griffin. I also don't think it'll be too long before Morabito gets a gig with Freo as he's moving very well. Good win...now bring on the filth.

Just backing up what has already been said, real gutsy performance and really with the losses we had after halftime Peel, with half a team of full time pro's should have run over us but it shows the fitness levels early in the season will put us in good stead at the pointy end.

When Peel got done by a young Swannies team they harped on about losing players in the 2nd half cost them the game, I think we showed that when a bunch of part timers are committed to the club and the jumper it is a different story, Peel only managed to out score us by 3 goals in the last qtr when we had zero rotations, so we can only assume when push comes to shove the AFL boys are just not prepared to go that extra yard, again exemplified by how Joondy took apart the feral cheats.

The umpiring was confusing to say the least and at times looked to blatantly favour the AFL team, they sorted it out to some extent after halftime but was way below standard for what was a very good quality game.

Cant sign off without mentioning the dog act by Silvia where he whacked Mahoney well behind play in the last qtr, a free kick was paid so obviously the umps saw something, will be "enlightening" to see if the policy of not suspending AFL listed players continues. Silvia is a better footballer than that and does not need to do these sorts of dog acts. Was a sad incident that tarnished what was a real hard fought but fair physical contest that for $15 entry was real value for money.

Not sure what happened to Kennedy either. He was wrestling in the centre square with that midget from FART and all of a sudden went down like he was shot. Our physio went out to him a had a few words with the umpie who just shrugged his shoulders as if to say he didn't see anything...Rhysie Waters had a go at the guy so something must have gone on which wasn't supposed to.

I also don't think Josh deluca will be out too long with his hammie...the physio said he was ok to go at the 1/4 time huddle but preferred to keep him out as a precaution which suggests to me it should only be a week or two.
