Hi all you loyal Subi supporters. I just read Subi take on the gummies this Saturday at the fish bowl (aka chit hole) at 2pm. I'll be there and hope to see as many Lions supporters as possible. I can't find a team list but hopefully some of the new guys will suit up see we can see how we're going. See you there.

Look forward to a report BC/LH if you get a chance? Hopefully our eastern states recruits stack up ok. Had mixed fortunes on that front lately. It's not so bad if they aren't that good - as long as they don't get a game week after bloody week frustrating the hell out of me!!!!

Just saw the following on the Subi website:

Subiaco will head to Shark Park on Saturday for the first of two pre-season games before the club’s season opener on the 22nd of March.

Coach Jarrad Schofield says this week’s clash with East Fremantle is the perfect opportunity to test some new structures and to have a look at some new personnel.

“Our boys have trained really hard since November so Saturday will be a chance to put that training into play. There’s a few new faces as well so I’m looking forward to seeing how the new guys gel.” Schofield said.

WAFL pre-season regulations allow up to an 8-man interchange.

Recruits Lachlan Delahunty, Shane Yarran, Frank Stockley and Joel Latham are all in line for selection.

Colts action starts at 9:10 am reserves at 11:40 am and League bounce-down is scheduled for 2:05 pm at East Fremantle Oval.

38 degrees on Saturday, surely they won't make the boys play in that?

Better keep our eyes peeled for any change to the fixture. At least at East Fremantle Oval usually a pretty strong breeze kicks in early on.

scores were:
Qtr time - EF - 2.4 16
SUB - 1.1 7

Half time - EF - 4.4 28
SUB - 4.3 27

3 Quarter time - EF - 9.7 61
SUB - 7.3 45

Final scores - EF - 11.9 75
SUB - 7.8 50

scrappy match with plenty of errors from both sides. Neither side looked particuraley impressive, however the heat would of contributed to that.
A down side for SUB was one of their players got carted off on a stretcher during the last QTR which looked like a knee injury of some sort. Hopefull hes okay.

EF looked like same shit, different year. Lots of opportunity in the forward line, but nobody to step up. Still look way to short for my liking.

Long way to go of course and as mentioned earlier, due to the heat there was lots of interchange from both side, so hard to gauge much from it at all, however certain passages of play from Subiaco showed to me that they're on the right path this year for improvement, though top 4 for either side is too haerd to gauge just from this game.

I know Subiacos reserves won by about 4-5 goals, however don't know the colts score.
