Big atmosphere in the club rooms. Ladies day was very successful. Agree with all the above points about the game.  My main observation was that Perth looked like a better team but ran out of puff. That was disappointing for them given our own inability to run out a game this year.  The 3/4 time huddle vibe was that Perth are cooked. Constable and Clark impressed, otherwise for them.

Shaky start, looked like we were in for a long day, but the boys stepped up in the last 10 mins of the 1st qtr to be right in the game. Perth had a solid breeze in the first which all but disappeared in the 2nd, we kept with them and were 15 down at the half. We owned the second half due to a big increase in intensity at the footy and the man, our tackling vastly improved so there was much more pressure on the D's players who appeared to over use the footy at times. Gus going back where he belongs made a big difference putting the stops on a very good Aaron Clarke. Perth stopped to a walk in the last and it was almost a training run with 8 goals to zip, still running hard at the end.

Liam Hickmont was again our best with 30 disposals and 2 goals, he will surely win our F & B by a mile, Corbett was good despite a few brain farts with disposal, Bellouard and Murison are certainly part of the team going forward, both played with great maturity, Kitch as usual gave 100% and his intensity was infectious, Taj was classy as usual, Snadden continues some long overdue good form, plus Borch and Sok worked well together for 6 goals and the Champ continues to impress. 10 goal scorers was good to see as well.

Good effort with so many 1st pick players out, Wardman mentioned 10 in a post game interview. Watched the replay yesterday and JT mentioned several times that Gus will hang up his boots at the end of the season, great servant of the club that will be hard to replace , but guys like Mullane, when fit, can slide into that role next season. Some real thought needs to be done by our recruiters, obviously a quality ruck is the prime target along with a tall key back and another experienced mid given Kitch is likely to retire as well. If we can keep our best 22 on the paddock on a regular basis, we should be there abouts the top 5 next year.

Good summary SS. Yes, I agree with your comment about Perth overusing the footy to a certain extent, although not as bad as Swans the week before. They were 42 disposals per goal compared to our 20 which either says they threw it around too much or just didn't kick enough goals or a combination of both.

Brilliant article on the WAFL website about the Champ. He's certainly done it tough in his short life and hope he makes it. Based on what I've seen so far, reckon he's a real chance to get drafted.

Good work to turn things around like that, alot of the players are finding some form, hopefully we can finish the season strong and with a few additions set us up for a run at the 5 next year as SS said
