3 and 1 after 4...incl playing the 2 gf teams. Would have taken that in a heart beat. Team effort again but zac was bog by a country mile. As noted before...dont under estimate our premiership ressies from 22. Young hungry and can play. Goldy Jacko Robbo Morgs and Jamie all did their bit again and are finally getting a run at it. None look outta place at all and i reckon the older crew can see the zest and hunger. In my view the blend of youngsters and seasoned players is working very well. Gus Rhode Heal superb again. The players are tougher and harder...and more importantly closer. Great to watch!

Did I hear right that Kentfield came off with a leg/knee issue? Anyone know anything? He shows plenty of promise, would be a tragedy if it's serious. If he is injured, it does open the door for Mayo. Jnr Hansen continues to show flashes of real quality, is lightning quick but lets himself down in front of goals, strange, as he's deadly with his field kicking. He will need to improve that as J. Farone has kicked 11 in the ressies.

Yes...agree with your summation SS. For mine the standouts were Clarke, Savigni, young Schoey in the first half, Max, McGowan and the Hickmotts. The most pleasing aspect is that the whole group backed up from last week to show it wasn't just a one off.

Hopefully they're starting to believe that they could give the competition a shake this year. I also noticed Mayo had another good game in the two's so should be starting to hammer the seniors door down but I guess Wardman will take a very conservative approach with him and for good reason.

Thanks to the maggots for another one sided display with 20 frees to 11. I don't know what the club has done to upset them but we tend to be on the wrong side of the free kick count far too often.
BC, Ti Em,

With all due respect you guys have been fairly vocal regarding being at the rough end of the umpires stick but you have to put it in context. The frees were 20-11 but 4 of your 11 kicks were very impactful in front of goals, it was one of those days when our 50/50 defensive infringements were given and at our end we were a tad stiff. Also Braut was caught holding the ball 4 times trying to run through blokes so that accounts for majority of them. Anyway, far too good for us and should have won by 40+ because that was the difference in level between the 2 sides.

Whinnen, I've seen the summary of frees for and against for all teams so far this year and we are clearly in last place with 48 for and 74 against, SD (75-65), Peelmantle (73-68), Perth (71-52) and WP (68-53) lead the list. WP had their share of frees in the forward 50 but more often than not failed to convert, so that argument doesn't stand up. The frees were mostly there for WP, but often the same situation not paid for SU, just play on or a throw up. Was the same last week when we beat CL.

BC been like that for a very long time, The 2016 GF is another example of "inexplicably" lop-sided umpiring.

Well we will have to agree to disagree or possibly both have our one eyed glasses on because I saw exactly the same as you but on the flip side :)

All we dream of is not being on the wrong side of the free kick count and for the umps to pay the same frees consistently through out the game. That has not been the case for a long time!
