After witnessing a complete transformation last week compared to the game before, I'm very hopeful we can keep it going and push WP to the limit.  The forward pressure was outstanding and the vigour and excitement the young blokes bring is really encouraging.

Sure we still need a few old heads in the team to keep the youngsters on track but I'm hoping Wardman continues to back these guys in and not drop them when a few injured regulars start to return.  Make the likes of Snadden, Stainsby and co earn their spots and create some healthy competition.

Looking forward to this one just to see if last week was a one-off or whether we've turned the corner.

agreed 100% BC
Snadden thru the 2's...Stainer has been playing 2's
Tough at the selection table...Giro and Kitchen to come back in?
No-one deserves to be omitted after that performance

It's a bit of a tough balancing act Coogee as you'd think a fit Mayo, Giro, Stainsby and obviously Kitch would slot into our best 22 but based on last week, who are you going to drop? Given Kentfield is only 17 he may need to be managed so a swap with Mayo could be on the cards but there's no other obvious candidates.

That could all change in the next week or two if we cop more injuries but right at the minute, only Giro and Kitch would be certainties to come in when fit.

The forward line worked so much better with Borchet and Sok playing together, add Mayo at CHF and that will start to stretch most defences, but dont let Mayo do any forward ruckwork, Borch can do that when required. If Giro has an ankle I wouldn't expect him back this week, if Kitch is ready then may Maxy will get a run back in the ressies, to get some confidence back, he's not been at his best in the last 2 games.

Another terrific team effort, only real standout was Zac Clarke who put on an absolute clinic. Maxy had his best game so far this season which is great to see as he adds so much versatility, Golding continues to improve, Giro busy after turning an ankle early and McGowan is showing he will have a long league career, super young player. Gus kept Keitel to 1 goal which is a super effort but the mids should take a lot of credit for the intense pressure they put on the Joondy mids. The whole backline again played as a tight unit, Gus, Heal, Savigni, stand in capt Rohde, McGowan all played their part. Even effort up forward with 2 each to Borch and Sok, but 21 shots for 9 goals was not reward for effort. We had 6 more scoring shots so the margin should have been 30++ but I'll take that any day of the week v Joondy up at South Geraldton stadium.

Doggies next week, they are a bit up and down but have a couple of top quality mids coming back so will be another big test.
Kitch still out with a hammy but should be right after what will be a 3 week break, Mayo still knocking hard on the door with another good effort with 3 in the ressies.

Good day all round with wins in all 3 grades.

Yes...agree with your summation SS. For mine the standouts were Clarke, Savigni, young Schoey in the first half, Max, McGowan and the Hickmotts. The most pleasing aspect is that the whole group backed up from last week to show it wasn't just a one off.

Hopefully they're starting to believe that they could give the competition a shake this year. I also noticed Mayo had another good game in the two's so should be starting to hammer the seniors door down but I guess Wardman will take a very conservative approach with him and for good reason.

Thanks to the maggots for another one sided display with 20 frees to 11. I don't know what the club has done to upset them but we tend to be on the wrong side of the free kick count far too often.

No surprise to see Joondalup received double the amount of free kicks today. WTF is it with them and the umpires?

Thought your summaries BC and SS were spot on. Clark, McGowan, will Hickmont caught my eye. Hansen had moments of sheer class again. The kid from Carine showing promise. Robins v good, too. Alone also played good part. Like what he brings.

let's hope we can keep this lot together.
