Super team effort by all concerned, the youngsters were terrific, Tholstrup towelled up Bolton, Savigni was close to BOG behind L. Hickmont and Clarke, Alone showed plenty, Taj stepped it up a level, Hansen is smooth as but missed some gettable goals, but his field kicking is elite. The backs as a unit were in control, plenty of drive of halfback and the mids were so hard at it.

The tacking pressure was immense, took the Tiges time and space away and they found it hard to implement there fast high possession high skilled game plan. Very physical game which the Tiges did not deal with well, so all the other clubs will be looking at the game and taking note.

Really hot day for footy and I thought we ran the game out well again, but a lot of  tired boys going through the motions towards the end. Our early defensive pressure set us up for what was a real boilover.

Different kettle of fish next week against Joondy, but we will have an extra day to recover, hope its hot as hell up at Bogundean tomorrow!!

That was a good win, that’s the sort of commitment you expect, win, lose or draw, having a real crack like that. We put it on the tiges physically from the start, we need to keep doing that. Tholstrup was a pest to bolten all day, shut him right down. Very impressive youngster. I liked Kentfield and Hansen Jnr, Alone, Robbins played like Chris Deluca with regards to forward pressure. L. Hickmott probably bog, Borchet with 5 reminded what he can do, Savigni, Schofield, McGowan good. Good to see youngsters given a go and stepping up, and good to see Braut used differently

Braut looks so much more at home off halfback with an occasional run in the mids to put the frighteners into a few of the CL lads.
I know Giro has an ankle, but what happened to Kitch? Super effort given our 2 best mids were missing.

Didn't see that coming. SS and DG summed it up pretty well. A superb effort highlighted by pressure on the ball carrier. Josh Robbins only kicked a point all day but his tackling pressure inside 50 was immense. The young guys were superb and will only get better as they learn how to play the game at that level.

Savigni terrific, Braut used his size off half back and through the middle, young Tholstrup not overawed and completely shut Bolton down, Zac Clarke gave our mids silver service, Robbins and Junior very quick and creative, Schoey influential, McGowan cool under pressure, Heal, Dewar, Rohde all rock solid, the Hockmitts prolific and Borchet's 5 goals really important.

I was just so impressed by the whole group as everyone contributed and Claremont didn't adapt to the physicality at all well. As SS said, other teams will use it as a blue print for beating them as we were tough, uncompromising and very hard on the ball carrier. Well done boys.

Wow, what s performance. Savigni best on in the awards. He won the Christie medal.  A relative of the original christie spoke very warmly and eloquently about the club. Nice vibe tonight. Haven't seen such a smooth move like Hansen since Hildebrand, or Liam Ryan. Very entertaining.

One of the all time great wins in last 5 or so years! We were so friggin hard...all day! Petticoats is apt...soft as butter! Would love to see Team Effort in paper tomorrow. Lose Giro lose Kitch...no drama! We have a bright future. All of the ressies premiership players stood up big time...but special mention to the backline... superb!

Good posts all, lads; one can see played solidly  from the  eveness on the  scoreboard across the four quarters of football; as others said, we have played inconsistently for quite awhile; it will be a good habit to break more often , hopefully, in the future .

Watched this game, $ubi beat Claremont up, conditions were identical to GF day and they looked spooked :)

Hard to get a gauge on who's where atm, you would think a win v WP next week is on the cards after that effort.

Agree Coogee.  I got inside a bottle of red to celebrate last night and was thinking about the game and the effort by the boys and came to the conclusion that in my opinion, it was our best win since the 2021 GF given the way they went about it and who we had on the park.  There's a lot to like in that group of young blokes if we can keep most of them.

I think we should also mention Beau Wardman and his coaching panel who, on the day totally out coached Ash Prescott.
