The way the team played yesterday took me back to the Schoey days and even the Germo days of hard aggressive physical footy by a team that's obviously much fitter than recent seasons. Hopefully we can continue in that frame, but teams like Joondy, EF, EP & SF are big strong teams so wont wilt under the pressure like CL did.

I think we should also mention Beau Wardman and his coaching panel who, on the day totally out coached Ash Prescott.

Yep...great coaching and great role playing by the team. Their generated energy and hardness was felt by all subi supporters

Have to agree that was a really memorable win! Went along hoping we would put up a fight and the boy’s certainty exceeded all my expectations.(especially after Claremont got the first two goals). Not sure why Kitchin didn’t play , one of the staff said he was having a rest which seemed a bit strange? Loved the effort and Robbie Hansen Jnr has become my new favourite player to watch! Keep that up and we can succeed this season.

I won't hold my breath waiting for Bellend to write about what an embarrassing failure Chokemont are given their kissed on the cock blessed conveyor belt of talent they have available in their zones. Perennial bridesmaids that are as much of an embarrassment as my club. At least we have excuses thanks to the gutless football commission.

You proved if you get on top of them early and apply relentless pressure they quickly become dispirited. Over to you John.

Yes he's got them there several times but just cant seem to get them over the line. Mind you there's a few clubs that would gladly take his record of consistently getting teams deep into the finals.

Well done Subi - with your constant pressure throughout the day you made CL look average and they are not an average side. The thing I got out of watching the game was that even if your missing veterans didn't get back on the park you should be excited about the next generation.Your team is in good hands with the youngsters you have.Should be a great game next up.

an interesting sideline...both clubs did their recovery on sunday morning at city beach. for one club it is mandatory, every week, for all players to attend and if you are 1 minute late, no matter who you are, you also have to pay a penalty.
