I see Jake South listed, 197cm, 90kegs 20yo from Carine, looks like they are trying to blood another ruckman, good height, a little light at the moment, he kicked 5 in the ressies last week so knows where the goals are, looking forward to seeing what he can do. Going a bit taller with Dela, Eaton and South, peel likely to have Meeks again who dominated v Cl, so good to see some more support for Dela. Dont know much about Savigni, hope he's a mid as our mids are a bit light on this year without Clark and Martin, plus Brandon Matera was doing a bit in the mids before he was injured. I'd like to see Stergiou have a run through the mids, he's strong, very fast and a good kick.

This will be a tough one to win over a loaded Peelmantle including Fyfe, but if we can get over the line we are almost back in the mix. Our work rate needs to lift and our conversion needs to improve significantly if we are to get close to this mob. Only 12 from last years GF team still standing at the moment.`

SS, I believe Meek will play for Freo on Sunday as a backup ruckman and could spend a bit of time up forward to cover the loss of soft co*k Taberner who reminds me of Buzz Fewster from 20 years ago who was built like Tarzan, but played like Jane.

I agree 100% RL. If he doesn't play a senior game this year then the AFL should be held accountable and Freo fined or penalised somehow for compromising the WAFL competition.

I thought BC the mid season draft was brought in for clubs who have had their lists compromised by injury, and Freo at this point of time have FIVE unavailable. They scuttlebut around town was that they were after Peels Derksen, and i reckon when he was taken by their selection pick, the cynical side of me says they picked Sebit purely for the purpose of bolstering their feeder team who for obvious reasons would like them to qualify and go deep into the WAFL finals, and if this is the case, it goes totally against the spirit of what this draft was intended for.

I hope you are on the money Johnny! I think the strong marking backman you were asking about is Pat Mullane, he's back in the ressies today, his first game for the year. SS Savigni is a backman

I’m sure it’s Mullane that Johnny is talking about. Glad to see him back. He stood out during the reserves finals series

It was mullane. Spoke to his mum tonight. He'll be a great player for subi.

Fantastic crowd today. Was a great day of footy. Tracy was the difference. Marsh did a good job in fyfe. Fyfe really added to the day. Good on him.

Not writing off Subiaco. Great effort against a strong Peel combination today. They just need to string a few wins together and they will be back in the hunt.
