It sounds like Giro and Stainsby in but not sure who'll be out due to Covid etc.  Hopefully we'll finally get a win on the board but that's no guarantee.  I'd be surprised if we see Marsh or Braut this week and think they'll be held over until after the bye.  Subi by 10 points.

BC, reports were that Marsh should be back for round 5 which is the one after the general bye, Last week, Braut was two weeks away so rnd 5 for him as well. Stainsby and Giro are welcome ins as it will go a bit towards addressing our lack of pace and will bolster the mids. Kitch has been carrying a massive load so any support will be welcome. The EP mids get a dream ride with Jones dominating the rucks, so it should be a case of roving to Jones most of the time, given he will dominate the tapouts, maybe give Dela a more freewheeling role and let Putt or Eaton do the grunt work because we wont win many ruck contests. Dela can ruck when Jones has a rest. Vanirsin had a tagging role last week, so will be interesting to see if he gets a game whether they will let him do some real roving as stoppage clearences were his strength when he was in colts. thats a significant weakness at the moment so we are straight into defensive mode when we are continually on the wrong side of the clearance count.

Putt doesn't do enough for me and is a bit soft for such a big guy. I know he's still young but I don't think he's up to league standard just yet. I thought Vanirsen was ok last week and would give him another go. Stergiou will miss with concussion protocols you'd think so one other should make way for Giro and Stainsby. I agree with your comment about Kitch...he's certainly stepped up big time to make up for the loss of Max, Marsh and the departure of Greg Clark....a real inspiration but he needs help as we are lacking through the middle imo.

Jack Mayo's second video put together with Josh Robbins, while light hearted and pretty funny, did delve in depth into the injuries and likely returns of those key players. And yes, its later rather then sooner unfortunately

Has any team gotten back from 0-4 to make the finals? Not in recent memory

West Perth came back from 0-4 in 2019 to finish 5th with a 9-9 record but they lost the elimination final to West Coast. In 2017 East Perth also lost their first four games and recovered to be in 5th spot leading into the last round but were beaten by Subiaco and dropped out of the finals. It is a tough situation to recover from.

I am looking forward to this clash, all three should be good. It will be a test of your depth and I suppose ours. Good Luck for a good tough game.

What a day of football. Reserves game was very entertaining. Full of characters. Can't remember a subi win like that in the league. Brilliant last quarter by maxy. Thought sokal was excellent too. East Perth were good all day. Unlucky to lose. Just a bit of premiership experience made the difference.

Terrific hard fought game of WAFL footy decided in the very last second of the game. Not pretty at times, both teams turned the ball over plenty of times but very intense and at times pretty physical. No quarter asked or given.

EP dominated the hitouts massively as expected and had the better of the clearances but we stuck at it. The game followed a theme of us breaking away early each qtr then EP coming back hard, especially in the 3rd qtr where we worked hard to get a couple of goals up then EP came back strongly to get a 7 point lead at 3/4 time. We started the last strongly, then they came back and it was nip and tuck till it was looking like a drawn game. EP surged forward, but we managed to get a clearance deep in defence, carried it up the outer wing, Dela crossed it to the opposite pocket where Max "golden boot" Walters threw his boot at the ball and managed to hook it into the LH goal post for a point. The siren sounded as the EP fullback kicked the ball in so it really was a last second win.

Giro was terrific all day, his pace and disposal was excellent, Sok and Matera combined for 9 goals, Matera was good early and Sok clicked into gear later in the second after being inaccurate early. Dela Kitch & co worked hard, but like EP it was a good team effort. EP got a number of goals by drawing our defence up the field then dropping back behind for the kick over the top, I think Robertson got 3 goals that way, Gus was pretty loose. The African lad Keuk? was very impressive, an accurate kick and a leap that would put Liam Ryan to shame, massive potential that AFL scouts will be looking at.

So we are 1 & 3 and EP are 2 & 2, the season is looking like a pretty even comp, especially with Swans beating Claremont and Perth getting over Peelmantle also by a point, pretty big effort down at centrelink stadium.

Su & EP will both enjoy the bye, we should get a few more back after the bye, Braut and Marsh in particular which will further strengthen the mids. Wont expect too much first up from those 2, might even have a run in the 2's first.
