I see Simon Moore had a big year in the south West league. Hayward medal as best in the Competition and BOG in the Grand Final

DG, a couple of PFL teams have benefitted from getting former Subi players. Scarborough did well with Shuff coaching them with a number of former players to a flag recently.
Yes SS and that's where Putt came from he played in that flag winning side of Parkers last season

Great to see Moore going so well down there, but it does show the difference in the comps where, and no disrespect to Simon, but a borderline WAFL league player (admittedly in the best team in the comp) becomes the dominant player in the SW comp.

If I were Subi I'd be pushing hard to get Lachy Vanirsen back from Kingsway. He's going to be very good in a few years and I'd have a clear path mapped out for him to play league in 2022.

I see Ryan Borchet named in the ressies tomorrow. It'll be interesting to see if he plays and if so, how he goes. You wouldn't think he'd come in for the GF next week but hey, funnier things have happened in the past.

Yeah just noticed that, wouldn't think they would risk him if they didn't have something bigger in mind, but would be a huge risk to play him next week as he would be completely underdone. takes 3 or 4 weeks to pick up the pace of the game after such a long term injury. if he plays ressies lets hope he pulls up well and will be cherry ripe for 2022.

Had forgotten about Damian Read in 1991 , also Paul Vines in 2003. Hadn’t played all year but came in for GF .

Don’t think they would bring Ryan Borchet back in for the Grand final , who would miss out?? Agree with SS he would be massively underdone.
Agree with BC that we should be encouraging Lachlan Vanirsen and also McGowan back next year to the club.

Chris Phelan was another recent example. I was totally against his selection but he played a great game
