It's been a season of inconsistent performances ranging from superb showings against very strong opposition to losing games which on paper you'd think we'd win.  After all that we're still in a position to finish on top so can't complain too much I guess.  We've lost a couple of key players over the last 2 or 3 weeks which is not ideal heading into finals but hopefully they'll make it back and run into form as the series progresses.  This week against a strong Peel lineup I think we'll be challenged again unless the Freo guys just want to get it over with and see the season end.  Our destiny is in our own hands so hopefully we get over the line by a couple of goals.

We will have to play a lot better than last week to win this one. Play like we did in the 2nd quarter for all or most of the game then we will win easily

I fear wafl has left the season go on too long and the minor premiership will be the only premiership this year. Covid will get us. We should be second week of finals tomorrow.

Hope not but the delta is a bastard to keep out. You never know. Should go down to mandurah then, but will probably watch afl final instead. Expecting tiny crowd. 200?

Robins unlucky. Not great stats, but he contributes.

I agree JL. I reckon he brings some real forward pressure to our game which is something we're sadly lacking at times. Good to see big Jacob Atkinson named in the ressies. By my calculation only Ryan Borchet missing from our best 22 if you discount Rowan Powell who I doubt will play again unfortunately.

No livestream or broadcast of the Subi game for the second time in two weeks. Bummer..............just have to go back in time and refresh the WAFL webpage.

Hoping for a good game and that Subi get the points.

Bloody hell what were they thinking, almost threw away top spot and the week off!!
I assume they rested a few after halftime, might explain the 2 goal second half while they watched Peelmantle almost hand Souths top spot. In the end we made top by a game, but Souths ended up with a 1.5% advantage.

Looking back over the H & A season we have not been all that consistent, lets hope a hard weeks training and a nice taper in the 2nd week before the 2nd semi v SF or Cl will see us put together 4 qtrs for a change.

Will be interested to hear a report from anyone who did the trek down to Centrelink stadium.

Didn't go mate as I had my son's ammos prelim final but jeez 10 goes to 2 after half time is not great. Another big game by Mayo in the ressies so surely he must be pressing up for the second semi.

Looked all over at half time. Clarke and kitchen all over them. Materas getting plenty of the ball and making blunders but doing OK. Peel looked too small. But second half was another story. We couldn't lay a glove on them. Their small forwards and small mids were running us ragged. Slick handballs. Rumble was ropeable at 3/4 time with the backs. .

Last quarter backs tightened up but still beaten for pace. I think the mids were the problem though. Putty got a bath. Meek easily too big. Della stemmed the tide in the dying minutes.

Ben Howlet had a big last game at full forward and was probably an undeserving loser. Marsh looked restricted by his groin. A good fighting last quarter by us, but putting that together with the east freogame we've got a big challenge ahead of us. Golding finding his feet, but lacks a yard of pace.
