Good to see Sokol and Matera in but as expected Borchet an out.  Rain will play a part but still expect to win by a couple.   I also see Aaron Breman named in the ressies which is good news.

FINALLY, Brandon Matera will play league footy for Subi! A few of the players this week seemed pretty excited about him playing. I hope his debut goes well.
I will have the eyes glued to the tv on livestream and will be locking all of the sheilas out. Go Subi

As its turned out Sok is probably better suited to the wet than Borch, his ground game is better, will be interesting to see what Matera can bring in very wet conditions. How long is it since we had two super wet Saturdays in a row, talk about climate change!!
A few Peel boys we will need to watch, Schofield, Howlett, Merret, Blair, plus their freo contingent, might end up being a tall team depending on who their Freo masters tell the Coach of the century to play.

Expecting a similar slog to last week, lets hope we learned a few lessons and picked up on how Swans played in the 3rd qtr last week. Keep it simple, dont over possess, get it forward by whatever means, it's a territory battle when it's very wet.

Was thinking of giving this game a miss. Perhaps going bush walking with a Sheila. Talk has got me intrigued.  Now I'm tilting to attending. Despite the rain.

Pretty strong Peelmantle team listed, Alex Pearce listed at FB, Reece Conca on a HBF, Giro on a HFF, Schofield listed in the ruck, so maybe not going with a recognised ruckman given the forecast, will be no walk in the park by any means.

Exhibition by subi in first half. I fear the mid season draft. Rain held off perfectly. Nice day at the footy. Even contribution I thought.

Not a lot to say about this one with the usual suspects in Dela, Clark, Kitch, Harry Marsh, Braut, Gus all superb in tough conditions. Actually on the state of the ground, I'm surprised the chunder even played with standing water visible in certain parts given recent history. Thankfully no further injuries which see us with Borchet, Walters, Powell and Mayo sidelined with all to return at some point with a bit of luck. I'm not going to dwell on this game as FART aren't my favourite subject and much rather focus on a big one this Thursday night against the Dees which should be a great contest.

Dela made his own arrangements, as did Kitch, Marsh, Gus, etc, Matera in his first outing did ok, will be better for the run. Still a bit of over use of the footy but given the opposition on the day, it can be excused. Was expecting a much stronger showing from Peelmantle given the team they had, certainly a lot of work ahead for the Coach of the Century.

Anyone know when we can expect the injured boys back? Maxy has a broken jaw so he would still be 2 or 3 weeks away, Powell must be getting close, maybe after the bye, Borch with an ankle probably the same, Mayo recovering from an ACL would still be a month or so away and would likely spend quite a few games in the 2's to get his confidence back.

Hard slog in the ressies, they couldn't hit the side of a barn with their goal kicking but stuck at it and got a late winning goal against the flow, so well done to them.

Just on the subject of Borchet and Mayo...it'll be interesting to see what our forward line will look like if and when we get everyone on the park. Nick Martin, Borchet, Mayo all around 190cms plus and Sokol at 186 so will be very hard to match up on all of them. Throw in smalls of Faraone, Brandon and Bailey Matera should give us some added potency. It also allows Wardman to send Heal down back or up forward as required and leaves Dela on a wing where he has been outstanding so far. I can hardly wait to see how it all comes together as if we get enough ball in our front half, that combination will be very difficult for the opposition to control.

I wish Bailey would start hitting the scoreboard a bit. Brandon already has more goals in the season after one game. And he has one...
