This should be another big test as the garlic's come off a very competitive effort against Souths in round 1 and a shellacking of WCE last week.  Hopefully we'll see Max Walters, Jordy Lockyer and possibly Nick Martin and Brandon Matera back in this week with Aaron Heal still a week or two away and Stainsby a week to go on the sidelines.  I thought our forwards were very efficient last week and backs although inexperienced, held up well but it's in the midfield where it'll be won and lost and WP have a strong lineup in there.  If we can get enough ball through the middle we should get over the line but that's a big if.  Subi by 14 points with no conviction or confidence whatsoever.  I'm not going as to go up there from North Coogee would need to charter a flight to Gero and hire car down to the oval so appreciate a match summary from anyone fronting up.

BC we have started very slowly in both games and had to play catchup, we cant afford a slow start against Joondy, if they get their tales up early they are very very hard to catch, plus our weakness is our pace which they have in spades so we need to win the footy and use the ball very well to match it with them on their own paddock where they are a 3-4 goal better team. Keitel looms large as a match winner so we need to think carefully who will go on him, Locks or heal would have been the logical choices, maybe Braut who could match his strength and run off him. as you say win our share of the mids, use the ball well to our forwards and we should win but it will be a very hard job. 50/50 game IMHO

The main thing is we must learn how to play four quarters of football, doing so has become a bit of a lost art for us.

As you say BC dont take too much notice of the positioning, but Clinch on keitel would be a worry, keitel is to big and strong for Clinch, Lockyer is the obvious choice. looking for more pace as well.

Couldn't agree more SS.
In the past, Lockyer has always been too good for Keitel and was a huge out from our backline last year.
But Keitel is in great form and I just hope Jordan is back in and fully fit because I don't see another of our defenders who could match him.
By the way, I spoke to Brandon Matera briefly at the end of last week's game as they were going down the race and he indicated 2 to 3 weeks away..

To be honest I like the idea of Michael Braut on Keitel. A big, strong no nonsense defender who lacks the polish of say a Jordy Lockyer, but is not afraid to dish it out when the situation requires. A bit of rough stuff at the start to see what Keitel is made of could be the go.

Good luck with that one, Keitel is a different player than he once was.

GB thats obviously the case as he's been very consistent and every other team will have tried the same tactic given his past reputation. We need a defender who can spoil at all costs, bring the ball to the ground and then its a 50/50. Also we need to restrict the supply or affect the quality of supply that Joondy's mids will create, they are one of the best mids groups in the comp, we will do well to break even with them. Plus while concentrating on Keitel we need to be mindful of their other forwards such as Knott. If Keitel looks like getting on top, we need to look at dropping an extra back straight after each centre bounce to block up the space up he leads into.

Bit disappointed in you BC, no good you staying home in your beautiful sea side resort, you should be heading north in the trusty S500 Mercedes with all of your rich $ubi mates and spending money, and supporting your team..lol ...and mine.

Not sure how this game will go, we were competitive against south's, i don't take much out of last weeks game against the Weagles, some of those blokes shouldn't even be playing at this level, but we do need to take a big scalp to earn some respect, all the punters have us winning the spoon.

Go the mighty Falcons!!!!!!!!!
