This should be another big test as the garlic's come off a very competitive effort against Souths in round 1 and a shellacking of WCE last week.  Hopefully we'll see Max Walters, Jordy Lockyer and possibly Nick Martin and Brandon Matera back in this week with Aaron Heal still a week or two away and Stainsby a week to go on the sidelines.  I thought our forwards were very efficient last week and backs although inexperienced, held up well but it's in the midfield where it'll be won and lost and WP have a strong lineup in there.  If we can get enough ball through the middle we should get over the line but that's a big if.  Subi by 14 points with no conviction or confidence whatsoever.  I'm not going as to go up there from North Coogee would need to charter a flight to Gero and hire car down to the oval so appreciate a match summary from anyone fronting up.

Bit disappointed in you BC, no good you staying home in your beautiful sea side resort, you should be heading north in the trusty S500 Mercedes with all of your rich $ubi mates and spending money, and supporting your team..lol ...and mine.

Not sure how this game will go, we were competitive against south's, i don't take much out of last weeks game against the Weagles, some of those blokes shouldn't even be playing at this level, but we do need to take a big scalp to earn some respect, all the punters have us winning the spoon.

Go the mighty Falcons!!!!!!!!!

Not sure where you got that from Falcon.  Do you mean my beautiful caravan in the Freo Village and Chalet Centre on Cockburn Road and my 1996 Hyundai Excel?  I wouldn't be spending too much money either as it's not pension week but I could stump up for a pie I guess if I don't eat for the rest of the week.  The mighty Lions will have to soldier on without me but here's hoping it's a good game.

Fear not BC just checked the Budget on line and we are the Ch7 TV game so pull up your best recliner rocker in the van give the Hundy a well earned rest and tune in. Good for me as well, it's a long drive from York to Joondy and back.

So it is SS. Channel Eagle must have read my post and taken mercy on me in that no-one of my senior years and infirm mind should have to travel up to that shithole. Good news indeed!!!  The only problem is that I delved into my meagre savings and bought 75" smart tv a short time ago so will have to hide any potential projectiles in case the maggots embark on their usual ritual crucifixion of anything wearing maroon and gold.

BC you only need to look back at the 2019 season and the 2018 GF to see what the maggots do for Joondy, we destroyed them, dominated the play and possessions and were crucified by the umps, go figure.

That 75" job must have been an Aldi weekly special for you to be able to afford it!!

Far out what a great game of WAFL footy almost ruined by some of the worst umpiring you can imagine, and thats against both sides so in the end not really affecting the outcome although if we had lost by less than 5 points there would have been a goal umpire looking for a new head, that was a shocker, but evened up after we goaled after Dela looked like he had the ball out of bounds, so swings and roundabouts, we actually, for the first time in recent memory won the free kick count against Joondy by 2 or 3!!

Clark proved the difference with 37 touches, 8 tackles and the winning goal, Kitch with 32 was his usual busy creative self, Marsh was good again with 27 and 2 goals, young Farone is really showing some class with 4 goals and Sok had 4 as well to just outshine Keitel and Knott who had 4 & 3 respectively. For them West with 30, Manzone 28, Nelson 27 were very good, Black was kept to 23 which by his standards was pretty quiet but he did get a lot of attention.

Once again we started like we'd just got home from a big night out on the suds, Joondy were all over us, with pace and spread and straight kicking, Keitel started like a train looked like he might kick 7 or 8 but in the second we clicked into gear with a hard bustling play on game that took their mids out of the game, and shut down his supply, 7 goals to 3 saw us in front at half time. Third quarter was a slog but we advanced 3 goals to one. Joondy appeared to be tired but that was not the case when they ran all over us in the last, our backs made some mind numbingly dumb mistakes which had Joondy back in front by 8 points deep in the last. Some late heroics by Dela, Kitch, Borchet and Clark just got us over the line. Both teams were absolutely spent. If we think we are the fittest team in the comp, we should at the very least share that with a very good and very hard at it West Perth team who will be, like us in the finals frame.

WCER next week so you would think we can win that and win well but until we meet SF & CL I'll reserve judgement on where we are in the comp.

Yep..a good win. I didn't think the umpiring was an issue. A bigger contributor to the close scores was our poor start AGAIN and Wardman erring in not sending Litherland down back when the score tightened up in the last. Inexperience by our backs in the last quarter cost us 4 goals and we desperately needed a cool head and some run and carry down there. Clark was superb, Kitch, Marsh, Kennedy, Sokol all contributed. Still not convinced Clinch is up to it and Braut is constrained by that knee and might need a week or 2 off. Nick Martin kicked 4 in the ressies and must be pressing and hopefully we'll welcome back Heal and Brandon Matera in the next couple of weeks. Jack Mayo is getting close to full training too I believe which is good news. A win against that mob up there is a bonus especially when coming from behind with 2 minutes to go. Well done to the boys.

Great game. can't remember such a good finish, apart from the time Warren Dean kicked a long goal at bassendean that swung wickedly from out of bounds to a goal .

I thought we were gone. Nice run up the ground to finish. Boys need to kick it long a bit more often. Clarke has really matured. Hard to tackle .

Harris was promising and yes Farone looks the goods. Kitch was heroic. Delahunty smart.

West Perth hung in there. They looked gone but kept at it. well done to them.

Agree with your comment re Farone JL. He looks very good if given a sniff around goals. Bailey Matera didn't have a great game today and must be a bit nervous with Nick Martin finding form and his brother Brandon not far away.

We arrested a joondy run on and on their own turf, probably a first for us, gotta be happy with that! I thought Harris was very good in the 4th
