Who thinks that the Independent will win Wentworth on what will be the ramifications of the Liberals do lose Wentworth?

Swan42: it is almost certain that they will lose the seat -- they will govern as a minority until they call the general election next year.

I will take your comment initially on face value: I await your apposite comments with much anticipation.

Apparently the Liberals hold this seat comfortably. The general consensus being the Libs are going to lose it this time? Labor would need a swing of about 18 percent to take Wentworth and maybe that is a tad too much? One would assume a lot of protest votes will be cast. Is going to be an interesting result

Without verballing Antony Green from the ABC he has implied that the Liberals are in serious trouble of losing the seat. A 20%+ swing against the Liberals in Vaucluse in their best polling place augurs well for a Liberal loss in an unloseable electorate.

Update: Antony Green thinks he can call the result in a few minutes.

Antony Green has called the by-election for K Phelps at 7.18 pm EDST.

The hubris of S Morrison at D Sharma's concession speech unequivocally shows how out of touch with the Australian population he and his party are.

Apparently the Independent Kerryn Phelps has delivered her victory speech.
This result would probably be one of the biggest swings against a sitting government in a by-election in Australian political history.
Between now and the next federal election there's, interesting days ahead in parliament for the Morrison government.
Of their own making!
