the Americans will build the wall; the Mexicans could be made to pay for it in part by increasing taxes on individuals as they enter and leave the country. It does not need to be a tariff on goods. As, I have said before, there is already a 'fence act' 2006, which most Democrats supportted in Congress; Obama chose not to enforce US law.

In the Senate hearrings the guy responsible for the border in Trump's government sugestted it will be more than a wall and include security forces and other devices, which I also suggestted would be the case.

Mexico needs to actually police its own international borders, rather than rantting about whether the US has a right to build a fence, because Mexico's southern border is the origin of the problem on the Rio Grand.

Finally a politician who says something controversial (which the silent majority support) and actually follows through.

Exactly right, Mexico and its government are run by the most violent and corrupt drug cartels in the world, Heads chopped off, bodies left armless, cops with no power, the very same gangs that run and control the border towns and people/drug smuggling operations and have now moved into Cancun.
