What a baffling decision this is by the WACA to now start charging 10 bux to get in to watch Shield games when know one went when it was free! That's going to get a few more through the gate Should be a gold coin donation at the most

You'd think the $$$$$ they get from the Big Bash would compensate for letting the public in to Shield games for free, that said, perhaps the coin they're losing from not having a five day test match this year because India don't won't to face Johnson on the WACA has forced their hand.

I enjoyed popping in between clients during the day for a an hr or so for a look, wont be doing that anymore

Putting $10 on the gate isn't going to make any money as hardly anyone went anyway, its a joke

It was free entry last year. I suggest we ring up and complain or send an email to the WACA.

Not a bad idea but I don't think they will care much to be honest because its not as if they will lose thousands of spectators anyway

I wonder if its free around the country or do the other states fans have to pay as well?

I used to be a memeber of the WACA, it was good value 20 odd years ago, still got a few thousand at shield games back then , plus macca cup , one dayers were huge and a test EVERY year.

plus AFL in the winter

720 broadacast all the shield games back then - do they now ? - doubt it, must be about 2 men and a dog that care about it.


the WACA is a crap org now, presents poor value for members.

Sport FM cover all the WA Shield & One Day games now every ball both home & away.
