Typical debt running philandering socialist ( a forerunner to Krudd and Joolia ) who thought he was above other Australians by implementing unratified policy through the duumvirate with Barnard.
Introduced the pigs trough that has become Medicare, couldn’t or wouldn’t rein in his crazy ministers, wasted money on welfare while the world was in a recession and was prepared to nationalise most industries in Australia.
Unfortunately hawke and keating learnt from his dumbass politics and managed to stay in for 13 years, which was 7 years too long.

hahaha...don't sugar coat it Devonleigh...say it like it is. I like the style of your post though and couldn't agree more with the content. :cheer:

I'm not sure why Bazza...his government descended into more chaos towards the end than Krudd's and Dullard's. It appeared Gough was more intent on poncing around on the world stage than running the country.

Well it is the ABC BC, he is a cult figure for the inner city left, his myth proceeds him mate, free this , free that, sounds great , but as you say the Myth is as shallow as Kemlanis finance credidentials.

As you say , I think he spent more time in Paris in his first year than he did in Canberra

Independance for PNG about 30 years to early was another shambles he was responsible for, that basket case never recovered.

The only debate woth having is whether his shambolic three years was outdone by Krudd and Dullard.

Why don't all you liberal lovers just fuck off, and go and smoke your cigars elsewhere, go and start a thread on how Abbott and co want to regress back to the 50`s   . I was only 2 years old when he was in, but from what I have read thank Christ Whitlam came along!

Nothing wrong with the 50;s mate, Australia's golden era, high economic growth, full employment, low crime, no drugs, social and family cohesion, none of the BS you have these days, WAFL was king in WA too!

And who built the place in the 50's? = Migrants, Australia have migrants to thank then for the so called golden era..Aust was so far behind the rest of the world before post WW2 migration..Whitlam opened up the country to the world and looked after the common man
